A horn snapped me out of my day dream as I was stuck in a traffic signal. I hurried and moved forward to give latter enough space to move on. A grin appeared on my face as I heard the meowing sound tapping on my phone, thinking about Ayesha. Should I remove the caller tune as she is horrified with that? Nah rather I should enjoy her tingling touch of her hand.

"Bro you there?" A sound came from the other side of the phone

"Um aa yeah I am listening" I replied back with a stammer

"No you are not, a lie has been written against you. I said assalamu alaikum bro" he said

"Walaikum assalam warahmatullahi wabarakatahu. Astagfirullah bro my mind was diverted." I said apologizing

"It's okay bro I can see the effects of bhabhi on you" he teased and I could feel him grin from the other side

"Whatever" I shrugged it off

"Okay coming to the point, need to meet. Are you free?" He asked

"Yup, meet me in an hour in kfc near the hospital." I informed him

Hammad. My one and only best friend, my soul mate who stood by my side when I needed him the most. Whose decisions I consider as my decisions because he's a man into deen. Earlier I had many non Muslims friends but when I met him the first time four years ago, I got my mate who would also be my mate in akhirah rather than in this duniya because the Quran clearly says 'close friends, that day will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous' [43:67].

I still remember when I first met him in the mosque. He was wearing pathani suit and the wudu water was tripling down from his long beard. His hand rested on me and I turned to him with a confused look.

"May I help you? You look confused" he said with a calm voice

"Umm yes I am here for the first time" I informed him

And from that day I am in touch with him till today. He has helped in the best ways he could.

I went to hospital and checked on the patient for whom I was called in emergency and after an hour I went to kfc to meet Hammad.

He was already sitting on the chair using his mobile.
"Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatahu bro, I won today" I said with a smile and he stood up to greet and shake hands as per sunnah
Ever since we met, Hammad and I have a competition about who greets first because it is stated in Ibne Dawud:5197 that Allah's messenger (PBUH) said 'Indeed the person nearest to Allah the exalted is the one who is foremost in them in offering salam.'

"Sooo" he said with a grin while glaring at me

"What?" I rolled my eyes hiding my smile

"Aw someone is blushing" he said teasingly

"I am not a girl to blush" I said ignoring him

"Really? The last time I left you was after your nikah in the mosque and you did not even bother to call me?" He said disapprovingly

"You are such a girl Hammad. You can't even bear a day apart from me huh?" I teased him back

"No I can see the after affects of your nikah. You forgot me." He said batting his eye lashes

"Are you jealous of your bhabhi?" I said smirking

"I am not jealous of anyone" he said with a tongue out

"Let's see how much you remember me when your chance comes. In sha Allah soon" I said with a wink

"Whatever. By the way what's wrong?" He asked in concern
How does he know that something is wrong?

"What's wrong?" I said while pretending

"Bro I know you since four years and I know you enough to detect that you are tensed" he said while folding his hands
Ugh now what should I tell him?

"It's okay tell me what suits you, I'll be back in a minute" he said while getting up
Should I tell him my problem? Of course he's the only one with whom I can share my problems

He came back with my favourite Brownie Sunadae ice cream.

"It's just things are not as good as I thought it would be after nikah" I said while taking a bite of ice cream and Brownie

"Umm so the problem lies here" he said while enjoying his bite

"Well let me give you some peaceful thoughts. See the nikah is either a trial or a blessing. It's not a fairy tale that everything will turn out perfectly and no one said marriage will be easy. Quran says 'LA tahzan innallaha ma'anaa. Don't be sad indeed Allah is with us' [9:40]. It always calm me down no matter what and it's kind of uplifting and enriching to my heart. Realise that it is not the people that surrounds you (not even your own self) that can save you to this kind of struggles. Only he Allah can do all these things. Subhan Allah, people are only tools, means used by Allah. He created both day and night. If it's dark in your life right now, be patient, the sun always rises. And if it's light right now, be thankful. But don't get attached to the sun. Allah tests different people with different trials because everyone has a different level of patience, tolerance and faith. You my brother have a lot of patience and I know you can make it through this problem. And don't ever forget 'Verily with every hardship there is relief' [94:36]." He concluded with a verse of the Quran

"Bro you are awesome and I always need you. Jazak Allahu khair for your inspiring words" I said while giving him a hug

"I know I am awesome" he said with a smirk

We chit chatted a little and then we went together to offer salah in the mosque we first met.
