STOLEN HEART

No Going Back

Zane (P.O.V)
She bitters out her statement with a serious face. I stroke one side of her face to annoy her and she snaps her head to me, wiping my hand far away from her in disgust. I say,
"Darling, if we are to be married what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine. You can simply ask my guards anything, anything that you find...amusing and they will carry out your request." Her face is priceless I can tell she doesn't find my loving sentence amusing. She spits back,
"So if I ask your guards to kill you they will carry it out? That would be very amusing!" She's good at talking back, but I'm better.
"Now let's not be hasty beautiful, you'll have to marry me first. I understand you're eager but a wedding takes time to plan." I reach for her hand, my grin becomes more misshapen and she says impatiently pulling her hand out of my gentle grip
"Well then, do we have a deal?", I grab her hand this time forcefully so it hurts, kissing it I say,
"I think we do," I see Garroth in the corner of my eye wound up tightly with a mix of jealousy and rage, I may have corrupted him but he that won't change the permanent fact that he will always have feelings for Aphmau.

Aphmau (P.O.V)
As Zane trails the Lord of Scaleswind aside, backs turned, to discuss matters a guard sprints up behind me and grabs my arm violently. I squirm and drive my elbow into his stomach. More soldiers pile around me and force me to the ground with tremendous force. I try kicking but every body part is now firmly kept in place. The soldiers hold me and the guard I elbowed staggers towards me. He raises up his hand slaps me right across the face with such force my vision darkens, all I can make out is that they begin to drag me away. I hear faintly the sound of Laurence shout,
"You bastard!" My vision begins to focus to make out his silhouette grunting to lift up the gate with his sword at hand.
"Laurence, what are you doing? Don't!" I manage to scream back, as he gets ready to rush out of the gate Brian strides up behind him, the pummel of his sword meeting the back of Laurence's head and his clearer figure falls to the ground with a awful noise.
"Brian!?" I scream, he just stares at me with dead looking eyes and his gaze stays on me until he disappears into the trees behind. Garroth finally seems to snap out of his anger, with a grunt he forces himself down the stairs to Laurence's side once again and places his sword firmly on the grass to help Laurence come around.
The guards throws me onto Zane's horse I sit there still fading in and out of consciousness. My hands are bound together until they are red and raw tide to the saddle. I thank Irene Levin and Malachi aren't here to watch me being taken away like this, I had actually believed Zane would have treated me in a nicer manner, I feel sick from the thought of what he will do without people watching. I bury my face into the horses mane with a headache beyond anything I've ever felt. Zane stalks slowly towards me, he almost looks like he is thinking through a list of things I might do to try and escape so he can prepare to restrain me. He slides onto his horse behind me and pulls me up off the horses head. His wandering hand grips my waist and I badly want to push him off me but my consciousness is almost gone along with me strength. We start moving and just before I slip into black he puts his lips to my ear, resting his head on my shoulder and says,
"No going back now" nothing but black.

Garroth (P.O.V)
Zane's horse with his disgusting hands on Aphmau starts to gallop off; I can't help but hate myself. How could I have let this happen, how did I allow Zane into my mind; my loyalty is with Aphmau and her alone as well as my heart for her. Instead I have let my only love put herself in a punishment worse than death, she's already been abused right in front of me...and I did nothing. I start to see Laurence come around an he looks at me dazed,
"What..happened....Where's Aphmau?!" I can't look at him,
"She's gone..."
