By eight-thirty, I am already in the office, sipping my cup of Earl Grey, and filling out loads of paperwork. I am also awaiting Mrs. Mansfield to have her people show up at nine. Timothy is sitting at his desk, playing with his pen.

"Aren't you supposed to work on your trades with EON?" I ask him.

"Don't feel like it in the morning, I'll leave it for after break." he says.

"Lazy." I answer grinning as I sign another release form.

"Don't you have an appointment or something, Vesper?" he asks.

"I do. But at nine. So you may as well take my example and do something productive instead of juggling your fancy pen around." I answer and look down at the next receipt.

Half and hour later, I have cleared my desk by putting everything into a nice pile and have set the tea to steam while I was waiting for Mrs. Mansfield. A phone ring disturbs my thoughts of the mission.

"Vesper Lynd?" I say.

"Mrs. Mansfield and her people are here to see you." says the receptionist.

"Please send them up." I answer.

I look at the others in the room and I sigh.

"Okay, for the next hour, I want all of you out to be quiet and work as efficiently as possible, I have a very important conference to attend and I want order in the bureau." I say loudly and sternly.

They nod their heads and disappear into their paperwork.

A moment later the elevator doors split and I see Mrs. Mansfield and a couple of her people.

"Mrs. Mansfield?" I ask the older lady.

"Mrs. Lynd?" she answers.

"Welcome to the bureau. Please excuse the papers." I say, bringing a chair, "Would you like some tea?"

"With pleasure." she says and sits down.

I sit in front of her at my desk in my office and I close the blinds in the windows.

"Mr. Bond will be delighted to have such a beautiful lady at his side." she grins.

"Thank you Mrs. Mansfield. So, where should we start?" I ask.

"Well, the mission is complicated. Mr. Bond will probably have a temper issue at some point. Do not take most of what he says seriously unless it has to do with safety. He will most probably try and take you out for dinner and what not. He's a lady's man. So what I am here for is to explain everything." she says.

"Okay." I answer, handing her a cup of tea.

"You will be travelling to Montenegro and you will stay in the Casino Royale. You will keep the money safe, it being 15 million pounds. You see, this man and his organization, him being under Mr. White, has some decoys who will be playing as well. The most dangerous one is a man called Le Chiffre. He is a business man, very successful with a weakness in asthma. Your mission is not only to distract all of them, but keep the money safe and Bond out of financial troubles." she says.

"Understood. Anything else I should know about?" I ask her.

"Just one thing, if blood gets spilled, do not be surprised, and if Mr. Bond decides on anything idiotic, please refuse. He is a young spirit with a ton of adrenaline and wits." says Mrs. Mansfield setting her empty cup on my desk.

"I will watch out and stay out of trouble as much as I can." I answer smiling lightly.

"Now, ladies, please measure Mrs. Lynd." she gestures to the ladies who came with her.
