It was a dull day. Clouds everywhere, large puddles. Dan and Phil were at the park. As usual.
"Phil, you know much I love you being my bestfriend." Dan mumbled.
Phil, glaring with a smirk into Dan's supple brown eyes.
"And I love you being my bestfriend too." Said Phil, leaning in for a cuddle.
Moments of silence passed by. Rain continued to fall.
Rays of sunshine broke through the clouds.
"You know, most often the brightest people have the darkest secrets." Whispered Phil, under his breath.
"What?" Asked Dan.
With no clue what his little Philly said.
A pause of silence, nothing but rain falling to the floor.
"Competition! Let's see who can make the biggest splash in the puddles!" Phil lied.
Both of them ran to the largest puddle they could find. Dan in his black wellies, Phil in his illuminous green wellies.
Phil had a secret, he was holding back. He didn't want to ruin Dan's day. He already had depression, forget Phil's worries!
They continued to skip around the park. Jumping in every puddle they could find.
Phil's secret was on his mind. His bright smile, hiding over a million tears, more than he had in him.
