When somebody says Riley I always think about Riley Griffin. He is my adorable bestfriend. We used to live next door to each other but he moved out to a ranch and we didn't really get to talk much, but he's back now. Glad I have my best friend back.
Today is the first day of school.
"Hey Riley wanna walk to school today?" I ask.
"We always do don't we?"
"Yea but then you moved out to the ranch so we couldn't." I say a little bit of sadness in my voice.
"Yea I know. If it helps any I missed you when we couldn't hangout outside of school like we used to." He said reaching out to intertwine our fingers together. We used to do this when we were younger. Can't believe he still remembers.
"Remember what Hayden?"
"How we used to hold hands everywhere we went when we were kids."
"Yea I remembered. How could I forget when Matt teased me about it all the time?"
"Really though."
We walked into school hand in hand.
"Riley what do you have first period?"
"Um social studies. Wait let me check. Yea I have social studies."
"So do I. What about second?"
"Math."
"Same."
"Lets just trade schedules."
"That's so much easier." I say handing him my schedule and taking his.
"We have every class together cool." He says.
"Finally someone I actually like."
"For real though."
*At the end of the day*
"Wanna go hang out with Chase and Tyler?"
"Is Shelby gonna be there?"
"Of course she is."
"Good thing I won't be the only girl."
"Babe- I mean Hayden you know you'd like being the only girl."
"Did you just call me babe?"
"Uhhh I have no clue what you're talking about."
"Whatever Riley."
"Anyway let's go to the café."
"Ok man."
*At the Dino bite café*
"Hayden!" Chase yells.
"Chase!" I yell hugging him.
"Hayden!" Tyler yells.
"Tyler!" I yell.
"Come here little munchkin." He says pulling me into a hug.
"Little bear!" Koda says excitedly.
"Koda!" I say struggling to get out of Tyler's grip to hug him.
I hug Ivan and he spins me around. I laughed because he always does this when we hug.
"How was the first day of school guys?" Shelby asked.
"Boring as frick. But hey at least there's someone I can actually tolerate in all my classes." I answer.
"Yea me too." Riley agrees.
"That's good now how a bout we go to the park or something?" Ivan asks.
"Sure." We all agree.
"To the park!" Ivan says in his knight voice.
"To the park!" The rest of us yell.
