Even after Toshiro fell into unconsciousness, Kariya continued to drain his essence. Yoshi placed a hand on his arm. "Kariya stop! You're killing him."
Kariya blinked his eyes, turning them on Yoshi. It was obvious that he had lost himself in the moment and hadn't realized what he was doing. "You're right, where are my manners? Take him to the cell to allow him some recovery time." Kariya then glanced at Kenpachi to see what his reaction was. Kenpachi was smiling at Kariya.
"Pickin' on little kids doesn't seem like a very manly thing to me. Surely you aren't that weak."
"You're one to talk. I think you'll find the experience rather uncomfortable."
Kenpachi never stopped smiling. Not even when several of the other bounts began draining his spiritual energy. He never looked away from Kariya, his eager grin bordering on insanity.
