Percy couldn't believe it.

It had been 3 years since the war against Gaea had ended, and a large celebration was being thrown at Persephone Park in New Olympus. What is Persephone Park and New Olympus??? Here's a briefer...

Straight after the war, Reyna and Percy decided to join forces once again, and create a new civilization were the two demigod clans could be united; and leave together in peace. They decided to create a whole new camp, where both Roman and Greek half-bloods would be welcome. The Olympians immediately accepted their plan, as long as they named multiple places or monuments after each one of them. The demigods agreed and hastily constructed the new camp, naming it after the beautiful land of the Gods, Olympus. After one year of construction and designing, with help from Hecate who sped up the building process and Athena who gave good advice, the new camp was finished. Like New Rome, New Olympus had a large city with multiple colleges, restaurants, malls, super markets, public schools, libraries and public pools, parks, an animal reservation, museums, farms, apartments, and houses. They even had an airport called 'Zeus Airlines'! Kids 6 to 18 would go to camp during the summer, learning both Greek and Roman skills. Anyways, demigods were happy and safe, and that was all Percy cared about, that and Annabeth, of course. (I'll get back to you on that one! Promise!)

The nine demigods, along with Calypso and others from camp, have been living here since the war, and some of them had really good jobs. Jason was the manager of Zeus Airlines, Frank was an awesome veterinarian, Piper was a music teacher at the same school as Hazel, who was a 4th grade teacher; Clarisse was a P.E teacher (not a very good one), Chris was a football coach, Drew was a hair-dresser, and Leo owned a garage with Calypso (which they had started when they returned from Ogygia).

OK, back to the subject. Persephone Park was the largest park in New Olympus, and was also the park Chiron had decided to hold the event he himself had called 'The Victory Festival'. This was the 3rd festival and Percy was happier than ever. It was a celebration that lasted for 2 weeks, sort of like the demigod Christmas, but in the beginning of August. Parades marched up and down the roads of the city, with floats that represented each of the gods, and fireworks that illuminated the night sky, showing different moments of each quest and battle. Percy was suppose to have met up with the guys 20 minutes ago, but Blackjack had gotten distracted during their flight when he saw his favorite donut shop, and had dove towards it; almost crashing through the window. Luckily, Percy had yanked Blackjack away from the glass and into a very soft brick wall, instead! Much better! (*Note the sarcasm*) Anyways, Percy was late when he finally got to the park. Jason spotted him first.

"Percy!" he yelled, waving his arms up and down to show Percy where the group was. "Over here!"

Percy steered his pegasus towards Jason and leaped off his back before Blackjack's hooves had fully touched the ground. "Hey," waved Percy, "sorry I'm late."

Jason was standing under a tree, while Hazel, Frank, and Piper sat on the ground having a picnic. "Where's Annabeth?" Percy asked.

"With the kids making the Athena float." answered Hazel, nodding her head towards the crowd.

"Thanks," Percy said as he started walking towards the floats.

Percy spotted Annabeth right away, her blonde head looming above all the little kids' heads. He snuck over to her, surprising Annabeth as he wrapped his strong arms around her small waist. "Hey," He said into her ear as he kissed her on the neck.

"Hi," Annabeth said, turning around and looping her arms above Percy's shoulders. Her loosely curled hair was tucked behind her ear on one side and her cloudy grey eyes stared into Percy's sea green ones.

'Gods she's beautiful', thought Percy. His heart kept nagging him to ask the question, the small satin box growing heavy in his pocket. (I promised)

'After the festival, 'He thought, 'then I'll ask her.'

Percy had already asked Annabeth's dad for permission, and had even managed to get Athena's approval. (Slightly)

His mother and stepfather have known for months and even Poseidon had been tuned in enough to learn about what he was planning to do. In a couple days.

Percy snapped back to reality as he was staring down at is true love. Just a couple of days and he would know if he was Annabeth's true love, too.

He followed as Annabeth led him back to the others, where they continued having a lovely picnic in the after-noon sun.

(Okay, first try! How did I do? I'm writing a 2nd chapter so comment please! Could use the support! )
