Chapter 2: The night is still young

Did he have to bring that up? Its bad enough I feel horrible for intruding on their time together but now he has to make fun of me. When I was about to reach the bouncer, arms gripped my arm, stopping me from walking any further. I didn't turn around when he told me to. He walked around me and sighed with softened features

"Hey, don't do that" He cooed, wiping my tears away

Gripping my chin, he made me look up at him. He leaned down and kissed my forehead before pulling me in to a tight hug

"I'm sorry babe. I didn't mean to make you cry. Do you want to go home?" He whispered against my ear, making me shiver as his breath caressed the shell of my sensitive ear.

I pulled away from him and rubbed my ear. He knows I have ticklish ears. I shook my head at his question and looked up at the sign over the Red door. I don't want to go home and worry the family. Now that we're here, I actually wanna go in and have fun. I want to forget about our troubles and let loose, even if it's just for one night

"I wanna go in" I said in a small voice

Even though my voice was low, he still heard it and took my small hands in his big ones. Pulling me up to the bouncer, he flashed his dazzling smile and stated his name and pointed to the smooching ladies behind us and told the bouncer, that they were with us. The bouncer nodded with a grunt and let us in.

As soon as we entered the club, my eyes bounced around the multitude of sweating and grinding bodies on the dance floor. It was so exhilarating to be surrounded by carefree people. My eyes drank in their expressions and I smiled a bit. There were some who wore lust filled expressions, others who laughed with their friends and the rest just sat back and enjoyed the night with the people they came with

"Let's go to the bar and wait for the girls there" Tristan shouted over the music

I tore my eyes away from the dancing crowd of dancing bodies and looked up into the light blue eyes that belonged to my best friend. I nodded my head and let him drag me to the bar. We squeezed through the grinding men and women, pushed away wandering hands and I think Tristan elbowed a man who grabbed onto my hand. If I wasn't so overwhelmed, I would have laughed at the look on Tristan's face. Annoyance and frustrations took up his emotions. My knight in shining armour

We finally made it to the bar; panting and sweating. That was quite a work out. I voiced my thoughts and that got a laugh out of the tall blonde man who nodded in agreement. He gestured the bar tender over and ordered our drinks; rum and cola for me and a bottle of beer for him.

My eyes travelled around the club in wonder and excitement. The last time I was in a club was when Tristan and I snuck into one when we were 16 years old. We ended up sleeping in a cell in the police station for the night because Tristan's dad wanted to teach us a lesson but I didn't care as long as my parents never found out and they never did

"There they are" Tristan shouted, pointing at Rhea who spotted us with a smile and a wave

Tristan nodded at them before pointing at the white door that led to the second floor. With a nod of their own, Rhea dragged Sally towards the portal to the upper levels of the club. Tristan took my hand in his and led me to the door. Like before, we had to push and shove people out of the way just to get to our destination.

"It's too crowded here" Sally growled, glaring at a man who was checking Rhea out

Rhea giggled kissing Sally's cheek as Tristan and I chuckled while moving so I could block the man's view of my sister. Rhea burst out laughing along with Tristan when the man's groan of disappointment reached us. Sally gave me a grateful smile but you could see how tensed she is from the large number of people looking at her girlfriend like she's a piece of meat
