"Doing well, (y/n)?"
She stared into Levi's silver eyes, the memories coming back like a river. Good ones, and then the bad ones.
"W-wait." Alice looked around, as if the rabbit hole was unfamiliar. "I'm not ready for this—"
"Where are you headed? I'll escort you."
No, no, no. He can't just walk back into my life like this, (y/n) ran her fingers through her hair.
"Why so stressed?" He read her mind.
The bakery's fresh bread distracted her again, and she realised Levi held a paper bag in his hand. Full of delicious pastries, no doubt.
"I'm, uh... I'm going home. Y-you don't have to escort me or anything. It's just a block down." (y/n)'s stomach tightened with anxiety.
Alice's head spun, around and around, along with everything else, down the rabbit hole.
"I insist," Levi started walking with her. "(Y/n)?"
"Y-yeah?"
"It's good to see you again."
