                     Happy April 3rd...

Rain was pouring down upon the Hidden leaf village. Today was the third day in April. Today was the day Naruto fell for his long time childhood friend, Sakura Haruno. Today was also the day of her funeral.

"Shinachiku are you ready to go." Naruto called out for his ten year old son.

"I'm...I'm coming Dad." The boy said. He was standing in his bathroom looking at his reflection trying to wipe his tears away.

"Ok you gotta be strong...for mom...y-you have to be." Shina said. He cleared his throat and wiped of his tears and headed down stairs.

"Ok I'm ready to go now." Shinachiku said.

"Ok...let's um...let's I guess." Naruto said. He grabbed Shinachiku's hand and walked to their destination.

Naruto couldn't believe what happened. He remembers what happened on that faithful day. It's hard to forget anyway.

Team seven ,Sai, Yamato, Sakura, Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi, were in an S rank mission for the village. They had to deliver a scroll for the village to the Mist village. This scroll was an ancient scroll that only legendary fighters could do. It had a power sealed inside by all of the Kages in the past and now since its a new generation they need to try and seal it. They were halfway there when they ambushed by a group of rouge ninjas. The rouge ninjas were very powerful enough to match them but they mange to barley bear them. Towards the end of the fight ,Sakura was stabbed threw the stomach. When they finally defeated them Sakura had bled out so much it was as if she was laying in a pool of her own blood. Naruto remembered what her last words were.

"Naruto...please...don't blame...yourself...you did the best you could," she said and smiled weakly while tears were falling down her face. "Tell Shinachiku that I love him." Sakura said. Her eyes started to close. "I..I..love you Naruto." And with that she became peace with herself. After that say Naruto has been depressed and has been spending less and less time with his son.

"Dad is this the place?" His sin asked.

"Yep this is the place." Naruto said and walked into graveyard with everybody else. As they walked passed the citizens gave them sympathetic looks until they sat down in their reserved area.

"Ladies and gentelman we are...unfortunately gathered here today for the death of our beloved Sakura Haruno-Uzumaki..." Lady Tsunade said. Since Naruto was in no condition to head the funeral, Tsunade volunteered to do it since Sakura was like a daughter to her. As the service went on the rain had gotten a little bit lighter than before and the sun was almost showing. Soon people started to put white flowers on Sakura's coffin and sometimes touching and kissing the coffin. Naruto and Shinachiku came up last to put the flower in her coffin.

"Mom...I know your in a better place so...please watch over us?" Shina said tearfully. He then looked up at his father. Naruto stayed silent and instead let his tears do the talking. Shinachiku then looked down at the flower and put it upon her coffin and hugged it.

"Now let us remember her as the peacful, loving, kind, and caring woman she was." Lady Tsunade said. That was the cue for the whole village to leave the site so they started clearing out. Naruto was about to leave but felt a tug at his hand and looked down.

"Wait dad...can we just... Just stay here for a little while longer...please?" Shinachiku asked. Naruto smiled weakly.

"Of course we can Shina chan." Naruto said and I went back to his son's side. They stayed there in silence for a good ten minutes until Shinachiku broke it.

"Het dad?" He asked.

"Yes Shina chan?" Naruto replied.

"Can you keep a promise for me?" Shinachiku asked.

"Yes what is it?" Naruto said now looking at his son. Shina looked u at him.

"Promise to never ever leave me...please?" He said. Naruto's eyes started to tear up.

"Of...of course I won't...I promise...Shina chan." He said.

"Thanks dad...I love you." He said and hugged Naruto. Tears were now falling down his cheeks.

"I...I love you too...Shinachiku." Naruto said and hugged him back.
