A soft groan escaped her dried lips. A small hand reached out into the void until the cool metal of the pinging computer was felt by the tiny fingers.

Sliding the computer closer to her, she pushed it open as the screen began to fill with color. Peaking just one eye open, she tried to look at the chat but the brightness of the screen proved to be too much and she closed her barely open eye once again.

After a few more minutes she finally opened her eyes and looked at the well lit screen.

k.nam: hey!!

k.nam: i realize it's a bit late on your side of the globe

k.nam: but i wanted to tell you that i really enjoyed your poem

k.nam: it really made me think

k.nam: idk it just gave me this since of familiarity

k.nam: like i've felt that way before

k.nam: and i know we don't know each other that well

k.nam: but if you ever feel like sharing more, i would be more than happy to read

k.nam: ok well, i guess i should log off now

k.nam: sleep well!!

*k.nam has logged off.*

A small smile sat on her face as her eyes drank in the kind yet nervous words of her new friend. Reading the words a few more times, she looked into the corner of her computer and noticed the time. 3:24am and she let out a sigh.

Straightening herself in her desk chair, she yawned softly before standing up and waddling towards her bed. Bending her knees slightly she fell to her bed and before her head connected with her pillow her eyes were closed and her breathing was even. Just like that she was out like a light.
