This is the first time I'm writing an original story, so please leave any comments of how to improve my writing skills!!!
I'm writing this because I wanted to, and please don't pressure me into updating, I'm slow at EVERYTHING!!! Haha!
This story is inspired by the short story Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving. The only thing that's the same from the story is when Jade falls asleep and wakes up not knowing what happened. Other than that, the story will take a different path and build its own arc.
And feel free to express yourselves about this story, whether it's positive or negative, I respect everyone's opinion!!!
So I decide to make this into a short story, I want to start out slow, so that's why you haven't seen me update because the story in my head is too big for me to express it right now! So I'm making this a short story, hope you guys don't mind!!!!

Jade Frideswide is just an ordinary 16-year old girl that has a normal life. Until one night, she went to sleep and woke up 30 years later.
She finds out that she is in a part of an experiment, afraid of what might happen, she makes an escape. When she steps into the reality, she is introduced with a new society, a new country that's more advanced and deadlier than. And it stands in its place of the US. She realizes she lost her family, friends, and everything that she wanted in her life. She sees something that'll make her twist her inside out. Now she has to measure up the world, with her on the run, dangerous people chasing her and becoming the new enemy of the country, she must:
-Find her family,
-Question everything that she hears and do,
-Find the truth about the experiments, it might hold the key to the changing the universe for good.
By doing the impossible, she has to let go of who she was and become someone new. Because the whole world depends on it...
