Kidnapped

chapter 12

Zoeys POV: I woke up on the ground underneath of Alex. How did we get away I was almost positive we were going to get captured but here we all are. It looked like everyone else was sleeping still. But I ended up waking Alex up so I could breathe again. "How didn't they get us" I asked him. "Well, to be honest I have no clue" Alex answered and I couldn't help but laugh. "Get the other two" he said and pointed in their direction and I woke them up. "Where are we" Kat asked. "Emerald City" I answered. "Awesome where's the yellow brick road" Jade said and we all laughed. We all stood up and started walking. The police car was still at the hotel which made no sense to me at all. Why would they of not tried to find us. I seriously don't understand cops like at all.

We walked past the hotel because we decided to walk through to cornfield where we would be hidden and people couldn't find out we were still near the police. It was difficult to walk through the corn and the corn was kind of itchy. I almost tripped and fell but I didn't. After about 15 minutes we were at the end of the corn and we all looked at Alex and he said to just run and follow him and we would try to find a woods. We were running and running and we finally found a woods we ran in climbed a tree and sat for a little bit. "Why don't you just adopt us" I asked. Everyone seemed confused by my question. "I thought you hated me" Alex said. "Well now you actually act like you like us and you act like our parents would" I answered like it was nothing.

"They would never let me kidnap you girls" Alex said and lowered his head. I tried to think of something to make people let him adopt us. "What if we make people think you killed yourself because you didn't want to go to jail and then we say we ran to a strangers house which would be you and then you can ask to adopt us" I said to him and he lifted his head. "How would people think I killed myself" he asked and I had to think again of how we could do it. "Um I can't believe I'm saying this but we need to go back to your house and get Zack's body dress him like you and have him holding a bloody knife" I answered that plan sounds kina good I guess. "Ok" Alex said and got up. We started walking again. "Do you know which way it is to your house" I asked hoping he did. "Yes but we'll have to have someone drive us so keep your faces hidden" Alex replied we walked out of the woods and saw a road where there was lots of cars. So we walked over to it. We were waving our hands trying to get people to stop.

Nobody would stop but then finally someone did. "Hi could you take us to 4587 north Pole street our car broke down farther up the road and your heading that direction it looks like" Alex said not making it noticeable what was really happening. Me Kat and Jade kept our heads facing the ground so the driver wouldn't see our faces she might notice our faces but she didn't notice Alex's. We climbed in the back and Alex climbed into the front seat and showed the driver the way to the house. We got there in 30 minutes. We hopped out and Alex gave the person 30 dollars for driving us. After thanking them we ran in. Alex told us to go in and go to the basement and we did. Five minutes later he walked in with Zack's body in his arms and I felt tears trying to escape my eyes but I wouldn't let them.

He put the knife covered in blood in his hand and we walked out. Alex had me call the police. "Hello, I'm Zoey I was recently kidnapped along with two other girls and my kidnapper killed himself and his body is still in the basement can you come get it oh and there's a guy with us because we ran to his house and came back with him the address is 4587 north Pole street thank you so much" I said and hung up. "This might actually work" I said. "Let's hope" Alex said. We waited for about 15 minutes and the police finally got here. The looked at Alex but then walked down to the basement. They walked back up with his body in a bodybag. They told us to get in the car. "Oh sir excuse me" Alex said walking up to the officer. "I was wondering if I could adopt these girls" Alex said. "Well their parents are dead and nobody has custody of them so we would have to check with an adoption center but first they have to go to the adoption center and you would have to go and get them from there" the officer said. "Ok thanks" Alex looked at us and told us he would come get us.

We were forced to get into the police car. I felt unsafe from ex I had been with him since forever. We arrived at the adoption center which was only 10 minutes away. The police officer talked about the situation to the lady and said that later a man would be coming in to get them. We were told to go to a room and me Kat and Jade walked up a staircase and walked into a room with lots of beds five other girls were in there. "So what are you three in here for" one girl asked. "Its a long story" I said. "We've got time" she said and we all sat down. "Well this guy kidnapped us forever ago and then he got put in jail but then his son killed all of our parents and his son kidnapped us and he just killed himself so here we are" I finally finished and there were tears coming from mine Jade and Kat's eyes.
