Chapter 41 - Heartbreak Girl

Luke did his little guitar rim, we finished up the chorus as the audience clapped and got out of their seats.

"Wow you guys are incredible!"

Chanelle said with a wide smile as we all took our seats with her near the audience,

"So, who inspired this song? Who's the heartbreak girl?"

Chanelle asked us as the guys all raised their eyebrows at me,

"Guys I'm not your heartbreak girl, get that out of your heads."

The audience laughed as I looked over to check on Roxy, she was leaning against the wall in the back as she finally smiled at me,

"No, I wrote this song for every girl out there who is heartbroken from a guy that they love and treats them like shit, while her guy best friend loves her a thousand times more and could treat her a thousand times better."

Luke continued to explain his story of when he broke up with his girlfriend after he moved to America and how she was his heartbreak girl at first. I kept making silly faces to Roxy as she covered her mouth and laughed. I loved seeing her like this, so happy. I really need to find a way to confess my feelings to her. And fast.

-Roxy's POV-

The boys all came backstage, it was official! They were officially signed to a record label and are now getting publicity for it. I am so proud of them!

I saw Luke, Ashton and Calum run after the cotton candy machine while Michael came over to me and swooped me off of my feet. Damn he's so strong. I wasn't expecting that but I love the feeling of his arms around me, squeezing me tight.

"Why aren't you going to get cotton candy?"

I asked him as he put me down,

"I've got my candy cotton right here."

He said as he winked at me,

"Michael Clifford, are you flirting with me?"

I said while playing along with him,

He pulled out cotton candy from his back,

"I was but I actually do have cotton candy."

He gave me a piece as we ate it together,

"Awwwwnn, you guys are so cute!"

Luke said as he and Calum approached us,

"Luke, do you think they are going to make babies one day?"

Calum questioned as his eyes widened,

"I don't think. I know!"

I threw my cotton candy at them as Luke dodged it,

"Why are you wasting perfectly awesome cotton candy?"

I sighed and walked away from them as I could hear them try and convince me to come back. I wanted to see where Ashton was...

"Ashton!"

I screamed as I walked around backstage.

"Ashton!"

I repeated, I saw a janitors closet as I was pulled in.

"Ash, what are you doing in here?"

He shrugged his shoulders and sat cross legged on the floor,

"I needed a break from the guys. I know we are crazy but sometimes I just want a moment of silence or seriousness."

I nodded my head as I sat in front of him.

"Ash, there's something I've been wanting to try..."

I confessed as he looked at me concerned.

"What did you want to try?"

I got scooted closer to him as I was nearly 3 inches from his face, I looked into his olive green eyes,

"I wanted to try the new pineapple cake."

He giggled as I laughed with him, once his eyes were closed, I finally went for what I was after. I placed both of my hands on his face as he stopped laughing and I heard a gasp come from his mouth,

"Are we doing what I think we're doing?"

He asked as I bit my lip, he leaned in closer as I closed my eyes, I felt a sudden warmth as he placed his lips on mine.

I felt something weird set inside of me, it doesn't feel like there was fireworks or sparks in my stomach like it did when I kissed Louis. For some strange reason, I felt safe, comfortable, but at the same time. It felt wrong to be kissing Ash and I don't know why...

I let go of Ash, before we could react, the door opened as I threw myself off of him.

"Hey guys, uhm, Wayde says we gotta go."

Calum said as Luke came up from behind him and gasped,

"What's going on in here?"

Luke questioned in curiosity,

"Okay we gotta go guys."

I said as Ash helped me up.

"Okay..."

Calum said awkwardly as we all walked out.

Sooooooo did anyone see Ashton and Roxy kissing? Ooh boy I did! So! I finally have motivation to write the rest of this book and to finally finish it :) this book will be done by the summer, i love you guys who have sticked with me through what if and this series!
