CHAPTER 07 - Connection

“Junki’s not coming.” Yuko added. “So… in your house? Or the movie haus?” she asked breaking the hug and cupped Haruna’s face.

“You’re not normal.” The tall girl answered weirdly with her face still captured by Yuko’s palms.

“Eh?”

“Is it really normal for you to cup my face like this?” she added in a shy tone.

“I think it is normal.” Adding a pinch on the tall girl’s cheeks.

“Then, can you not do it casually? As I really think that this isn’t normal.”

“Casually? You mean, publicly right?”

“Uhm… yeah… I guess…”

“But… I can’t help it if I want to.” Her hands were slowly pulled down by the long haired girl. “Okay…”

“Movie house… but, please don’t do anything weird.”

“Roger that!” Yuko answered raising her hand straight up the air. “This is like a date!! Yey!”

“Aren’t you getting too excited for someone who has a boyfriend?”

“Ehn? Who cares?! We both have this thing called… trust.” The short girl winked.

“Trust huh?”

Muscles on her chest are beating loudly and fast as she balled her fist tightly, uncomfortably resting on the arm chair of the movie house they are in. Her eyes cannot seem to focus as it rolled left and right every now and then, murmuring hopes of something that she thinks it shouldn't be there. Unconsciously, her foot creates feint stomping sounds due to the constant tapping she's making. As much as she wants to enjoy the movie, even pretending that she is, is hard enough for her. The only thing in her mind right now is that the person beside her wouldn't notice that there something going on.

"Nyannyan? Something wrong?"

The booming sounds from her heart cried louder as she heard that worried question from Yuko. All her efforts on remaining unnoticed failed. "I think I badly need to go to the restroom." she tried replying calmly.

"That's too bad. This is somehow getting interesting though... I'll go with you..."

The tall girl bit her lips and tried to calm herself down from the inside, thinking of the best option to take to answer Yuko's offer. She's having second thoughts of saying yes... Or no. She shift her eyes on the screen and pull on a show that she wants to finish the scene first before going, just to give herself some time to think. "Damn it~ what should I do..."

"Can you still hold it in?" Yuko asked worriedly.

"Y-yeah... I'm fine..." she faked a smile and glanced to the left."Just a little bit more..."

"O-okay... Tell me if you're ready to leave okay?"

++[HARUNA'S POV]++

Damn it. These guys are getting so persistent lately. Why can't they give us a break? If only I was away from her right now, it'll be much easier. I don't want Yuuchan to see any more of this. I should've not agreed to go. Damn it. Why am I so stupid?

I didn't notice that I was already holding her hands. I was cold from worrying too much over what is going to happen. I need to figure out something. But, the way she looks at me is telling that she's really confused of my acts. I need to get out of here. Should I go alone?

I can feel heaviness inside my chest as I try to hold in my breath that is waiting to be sighed. I can't do that. I need to at least make it look like it's just a normal occurrence. "I'm going... Stay here." I uttered as calm as possible.
