Anything but This

“Shut up! I- I know what I’m doing…”

“Isn’t that the same words you told me the last time Haruchan?” Haruna remained quiet. “I’m just worried you’d still be stuck-”

“Don’t! Don’t say that! We’ll make it through this time. I believe in her.”

“But Haruchan,…”

“Stop it. I believe in Yuuchan. No matter how many times I have to go through this, I won’t stop believing in her.” Haruna’s voice trembles in a struggle to put power behind the tears that’s starting to build up inside her.

“I just want you to be happy…” her sister uttered in a low tone, enough for her stubborn little sibling to hear.

“I’m happy.”

“You’re not! I know you’re not!” finally, the girl hiding on the shadows formed by the collected set of leaves jumped down and revealed herself in front of Haruna. “Stop pretending already Haruchan!”

“I told you I’m okay!! If you don’t want to believe me, just leave!!” the persistent girl shouted keeping her fist clenched on her skirt, trying hard to keep her tears from rolling down her eyes. “Just leave me alone…”

The lady with the same beautiful brown eyes as her lifts her hand and carefully tucked Haruna’s hair behind its ears. “I know you too well…” She murmured and gaze onto her sister’s eyes. “Let it all out when it starts to get heavy… Big sister is always here for you… Remember that.”

She let out a sigh and embraces her sister who’s slowly being betrayed by her own eyes, tears started rolling down.

“Until Yukochan comes back,” her hands stroked the sobbing girl’s back, trying to ease away the pain. “,… let all your tears out on me.”

++[YUKO’S POV]++

Nyannyan and I in an instant became close. That is what I believe in. We’re always together almost every day after school. I can say that finally, I was able to fully feel comfortable with her. It was as if we’ve been best friends on our past lives that I have this at ease feeling whenever I’m with her. She’s been really so nice to me as she’s not resisting on my sudden urges of hugging and sometimes kissing her cheeks. And I like the fact that she doesn’t mind me telling her I love her. I feel so comfortable with her, really. I love the comfort she brings.

Even so, I still know nothing about her family or her past. That said, choosing not to ask her about it is where my heart led me, telling me to wait for her to open up. Well, everybody has a part of them that they are not comfortable with until the right time and the right person makes them feel good about it. And I’m hoping that for her, it would be me. But if not, I’ll still be happy for her. At least, she’ll finally be happy.

“Thinking about your new friend again huh?”

He broke my thoughts of her with his oh-so-soothing voice. I haven’t mention Junki, my man. I know a lot says that he’s too tall for me, but who cares anyway? We both love each other. Well, we’re actually having a hard time kissing specially when watching fireworks during festival where both of us are standing. Honestly, it was his height that captures me, his sleepy eyes, and of course those kissable lips. His features are so girl-like but it was such a big turn-on for me. Skin so soft and white, and those set of beautiful white teeth flashing a smile on me sends me out of my seat every time.
