One Last Chance

Chapter 11 Alison

My eye lids tried to open slowly and when they did I found myself on the soft grass and as I started to adjust my eye sight to look all around me, wondering where I am. I saw that the boy that was covered in blood was standing with his arms crossed in front of me. He was completely clean. All the blood that was covering his body was gone. I looked confused. I asked him where were we. He just looked at me and smiled which was creepy. I tried to get up but as I tried to lift my head a jolt of pain hit me. He crouched down beside me and said
        "Please don't try to get up, you have a concussion, but I promise you your safe now. He can't hurt us anymore" I looked at him with confusion and slowly closed my eyes and fell asleep again.

   I awoke up to see Tyler in front of me. I was in a strange room as I was looking around. I was laying on a comfortable bed while Tyler was dabbing my head with a wet cloth. My head still hurt as I was rubbing my forehead in distress. But Tyler just smiled at me. He said
     "Connor just brought you in an hour a ago. He told me what happened with that person on the road. When I saw u unconscious as he was bringing u in I was so worried about u"
    "Well I'm fine. But thanks for your concern. So where am I?" I asked curiously
    "Your at the abandoned house remember, the house I told you that my pack lives in"
    "Oh" I said with a giggle. Wait a minute that boy u said that brought me here, is he a....werewolf too" I said with a whisper.
    "Ya, he is"
    "Why did he get attacked too and how and by what?"
    "I'm sure he was just there hunting and in someone else's territory. As for that person on the road, I have no idea what he is!"
    "He opened the car door with his mind, Tyler! What type of thing is that?"
    "I have no idea Alison, but we are going to do whatever we must to find out. You just have to trust me"
   "Okay" He touched my face gently and told me to rest up. I closed my eyes and he pulled the covers over my body. He stood up and walked out the door and closed it behind him. As soon as he was gone I opened my eye lids and got up slowly trying to take it easy as my concussion is still healing. I looked around the room while walking around checking out the paintings and book shelves. For wolves they have a pretty neat house. The door opened slightly and I gasped and turned around to find a tall man with a lot of facial hair and golden brown silky hair up to his shoulders. He came in and said
     "You must be Alison"
      "Yes, how'd you know my name?"
      "Well Tyler spoke very highly of you at his time here helping Alex. My name is Thomas"
      "Nice to meet you Thomas"
"You too. You seem very important to him. I've never seen him this happy since Alex took him on his first hunt" I smiled.
       "Well that's sweet of him but we aren't together anymore. I....can't deal with the whole wolf thing"
       "Oh I understand that. This must be hard to understand the whole wolf thing"
      "Ya, I guess. But how does he deal with it?How can he be so calm? Doesn't he miss being human?"
      "Those are all good questions, but I think the person you should ask these questions to is Tyler, himself"
     "Ok!" Tyler suddenly knocks on the door as it is half open and calls Thomas. Thomas says to me
"If you'll excuse me I'll have to take care of something" I nodded my head. Thomas left the room and closed the door behind him leaving Tyler and I alone.
"So are you ready to meet the rest of my pack?" Says Tyler
"Ya, I guess I am" Tyler nods his head and takes me down the hall and out the door. To meet his pack. He called Alex's name and a young girl appeared wearing a light blue tang top and brown shorts. She looked at me and smiled saying
"You must be Alison?"
"Ya, I am"
"I'm Alex"
"I know, Tyler told me about you"
"Oh he did, that's sweet Ty" Tyler looked at Alex and said to her
"Did you tell Thomas what happened?"
"Ya, I did. I could tell he was silently disappointed, but glad I told him everything. He now wants me to start hunting with a partner so I'm paired up with Julia. Ugh, she can be such a brat at times. Out of everyone Thomas chooses her!" Tyler laughs and says
"Oh come on you'll be fine"
     "Whatever, I'll see you later" She grinned and walked away. Tyler turns to face me and says
"Well this is my family. I know it's weird to see, but I told you not to come anyway"
"I thought you were in trouble. I was trying to help" I reply
"You shouldn't of, it's dangerous here and all I ever wanted was to keep you safe"
"I can take care of myself, Ty. If you cared about me that much you wouldn't of lied to me about all this!"
"It's not a world I wanted to bring you into"
"Ya, but all the secrecy is not going to stop my determination to find out"
"Ya, I learned that the hard way" Tyler laughed. We walked along the lake and talked until we came upon a cliff. Tyler looked worried as we were passing it. I asked him
"What's the matter?" He didn't say a word.
"Tyler!....Tyler! Are you okay?"
"Oh...what, sorry...it's just-"
"It's just what?"
"Uh, well Alex and I kinda buried a....body here"
"You what!"
"We didn't mean to"
"Alex accidentally lost control remember and the girl was so young. I looked at her face and she seemed so gentle. I can't believe we did it"
"Why Tyler why, didn't she mean something. She was innocent"
"It was an accident Alison, please you have to know that" I was crying by the time Tyler could even finish that sentence. I quickly turned my head and ran away toward the warehouse. I didn't know what else to say. They killed an innocent and just buried her body. They killed her, a young girl!
