***Party time!**

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the past week I’ve had a none stop routine; wake up, shop, train, plan a party, eat, sleep, and repeat.

I’m sore and exhausted. I haven’t had time with Brian except for the occasional hi and how you doing. He hasn’t tried to kiss me again probably because I’m on constant surveillance from Alex.

It’s likes he knows what Brian wants to do! Uhg!

I’ve been going back to the mall along with other soldiers. We haven’t had any problems with Mutants or other creatures so that’s a plus.

My sister has been obsessed with this party. She wants to make sure everything is perfect. At first Alex said no a few hundred times but his dad agreed to it which surprised us all.

He said we needed something good to take our minds off the troubled life we live. I don’t care as long as Caroline is happy.

I yelled out and kicked the pad in Alex’s hand. He smiled, “Nice but use a little more force.”

I kicked harder. “Good.”

I finally stopped and took a breath. “Why did you stop?”

“The party starts in an hour and I’m going to need time to wash up.” He rolled his eyes. “Are you going?”

He shrugged, “Maybe I’ll stop by.” He put the training supplies away.

“Come on there has to be a party animal in there somewhere.” He smirked. “So I’ll see you there then?”

“I don’t know…”

“Alex.” I whined. “Come on you need a rest.”

“Fine.” I smiled and jumped in there air.

“See you there.” I turned and ran toward the apartment complex. I ran up the stairs and in my room. I was covered in sweat from working so hard. I needed to wash up somehow. I grabbed a bucket from a closet and ran down stairs to fill it up with the pump.

Apparently under the town was some kind of well system and we could still get water. I filled the bucket and ran back upstairs being careful not to spill it. I poured soup in the bucket and grabbed a wash cloth. I took off my clothes and tried to clean my self as best as possible.

Then I dried myself and tried to dry my hair. I looked in the mirror and added a little make up that I got from Claire’s. Then I put on a gray tank top, black jeans, and a blue jacket sweater. I looked better than usual and the make up helped a lot.

I messed with my hair for a little while and decided to leave it down.

I heard a knock and ran to my door. Brian stood in front of me.

“Hi.” I smiled. He was looking me over with a shocked expression. “What?”

“You look great.” He wore a T-shirt and the jacket I had gotten for him. His hair was brushed and looked like he’s been using conditioner.

“So do you.” He smiled and I heard the sound of my sister running up the stairs.

“Sissy its time!”

“Okay then let’s go.” I followed her down the stairs. Brian was right behind me.

The party was being held in the dining room. When I walked in I was shocked. There were streamers and decorations. Only a few tables where in the room and they were pushed against the wall.
