Song 10.1: Enchanted

“I’d be glad to.” I said and smiled at her. She smiled back and patted down the spot next to her.

“You want me to sleep beside you?” I asked. Napayuko siya.

“y-y-Yes p-please.” She stuttered. I saw a blush rise up to her cheeks.

I climbed up the bed and laid down. I propped my side up with my arm and faced her.

“Come over here.” I said and almost instantly, she came to me and snuggled up close.

“Sleep tight, my beautiful angel.”

After she fell asleep, I took my phone and dialed up a conference call to my friends.

*ring...ring...ring*

“HELLO?” Sabay-sabay nilang sagot.

“Yo guys! It’s me. Nauna na akong umuwi ha? I had something to take care of.” I told them.

“It’s okay bro! Wala na din pala yung angel mo!” Sigaw ni Blaze over the music.

“Uhhh, she’s kinda...With me.” I explained.

I heard their cheers and wolf whistles over the phone.

“Sige na. I’m hanging up.” I told them and hang up immediately.

I sighed contentedly as I looked back at Denise. If only we could stay like this forever. If I could just call her mine. I would be the happiest man on the face of the earth. No, actually, the happiest man in the universe.

God, I hope she doesn’t freak out tomorrow when she sees me. And I hope I could get close to her. Kahit as friends lang muna. God! If only you could give me a sign. Any sign. Then I would know.

“Sige na. I’m hanging up.” Sabi ni Seth at bigla na lang nag-hang up na hindi man lang hinihintay ang sasabihin namin. (-____-) Loko talaga ‘tong lalaking ‘to. Kasama na kasi yung angel niya eh. (-___-) Haaaay. Ako kaya? Kailan magkakaroon ng babaeng magpapatibok ng puso ko? Yung babaeng magpapatigil sa mga kagaguhan ko. Yung babaeng mamahalin ko habang buhay.
