(Denise’s POV)

I drove past our house’s gate and in the garage. As I cut off the car engine, this feeling bothered me. I have a bad feeling about this. I hate this feeling. Times like this make me wish I could freaking predict the future. (-____-)

Still with the weird feeling in the gut that I’m feeling, I walked in the house just to be greeted by a very hateful presence. Why am I feeling déjá vu all of a sudden? Oh well, fuck my life.

I walked past my poor excuse of a dad, purposely ignoring him.

Out of the blue, he started yelling profanities at me.

“DENISE RAINE MCKNIGHT TACHIBANA! DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TO IGNORE ME!” His voice boomed around the whole lounge. Smirking, I faced him.

“Chill out, what you yellin' for?” I asked him, propping one of my eyebrows up and crossing my arms over my chest.

“Where the hell are your manners? Learn to respect me!” He still yelled, this time, with a lower volume. I snickered.

“Psh! Manners? Respect? You’re the one to talk, DAD. You’re the one who doesn’t have any ounce of manners in your bones. You’re the one not being respecful here, not me.” I retorted.

Akmang sasampalin na sana niya ako nang bigla akong magsalita.

“Sige dad. Sampalin mo ako. Saktan mo ako. Para lalo kong mapatunayan na wala akong kwenta sayo. All you think about is yourself, dad.” I said, every single word was dripping with venom as I looked at him sharply. This stopped him.

“What are you doing here anyway? What do you want?” I said as I looked straight into his eyes, fighting back the treacherous tears from falling.

“I want you to go back to Jiro and marry him.” He said, full of authority. I laughed bitterly.
