A Date by the Lake

Aphmau's POV~

"So where are we going exactly?"
"I don't want to ruin the surprise just keep your eyes closed."
So this is the situation I was in: blindfolded , having no idea where I was going and Garroth guiding me from behind. He said he wants to show me something, but why does he have to blindfold me?
"We're here!" He finally said, and he unfolded the piece of cloth that was wrapped around my eyes. When I opened my eyes I was speechless. In front of me was a crystal blue lake surrounded by beautiful purple flowers. Near the lake were a blanket and a picnic basket (this is the last time I am going to use the picnic in this book I swear!). We sat on the blanket and watched the lake as I felt his arm wrap around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I smile and blush shades of red and saw that he started blushing too. He may try to act confident but he is still the same Garroth as ever. The same Garroth I fell in love with. I smile and rest my head on his shoulder. We stay like that for a bit but after a while I could hear his stomach growling. So we started to eat. The food was lovely, but after so much tasty food I wanted something refreshing like an apple or other fruit. So I told Garroth that I'm going to be back in a bit and headed towards that big tree with those big shiny read apples. They looked delicious... I tried to climb the tree and I managed to go far enough that I could see an apple close by. I stretched my arm and tried to reach it but with no use, it was too far away. I started to climb up a small branch to get closer to the apple. I managed to grab it but the branch that I climbed on collapsed. I was pretty far from the ground... This will be painful. Everything was happening so fast but a lot of thoughts crossed my mind. The time that I was falling, it felt like an eternity , if I tried to react I had no time but if I stayed focused on my thoughts it was just like time had stopped. I was getting closer to the ground I could feel it. I was as ready to make contact with the hard dirt but instead of a terrible pain I felt two strong arms catching me
"This seems really familiar don't you think?" I heard a chuckle and I finally realised the situation I was in. I didn't fall to my death, Garroth was there just in time to save me, like he always does. I gave a sweet kiss to my knight in shiny armour. Just then a bunch of apples fell off the tree. We took the picnic basket and fit inside as many apples as possible.
"Hey, you seem a little off, is anything bothering you?"
"Um? No it's just, I almost fell to my death from that tree, but you were there to save me as always " I gave him a warm smile.
"Hey, I am your guard and boyfriend after all ..." I saw his face starting to get redder. He probably just realised what he said. I let out a small giggle and wrap my arms around his neck.
"No need to be embarrassed."
"I-I am not e-e-embarrassed ..." He started to shutter. He was shuttering around me before, now I know why. A let out another giggle and give him another kiss. It was a nice date , even though I almost died it was still the best day ever.
"You know I love you don't you?" He finally said after we separated from the kiss.
"And I love you too."
A/n getting back into writing! I'm so happy! I am now feeling better so I can finally write again. And 1 more thing... 2K READS! OMG! 4 days ago I wrote the 1.5 special chapter! And now we already hit 2K ?! This is crazy! (In the best way possible) Well I guess that's it... Hope you liked it and
