"So young that all I could do is just to gaze and to wish at the myriad stars twinkling brightly at the crimson blue skies."
That night, I was at home, alone. My parents went out to have a romantic fine dining at a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of town since today is Sunday and tomorrow is Heart's Day. Dad prepared a surprised gift to Mom which I also don't know. So, the lonesome bratty me stucked up here in my room because I found staying downstairs totally creepy.
I decided to read the book that my Mom's old-maiden sister had bought me a week ago at the Book Fair Bazaar but later I found it quite boring so I threw it up. Then, I mounted off my bed and headed to the study table located near the window to log on the PC. I went to the browser and searched my favorite social media then typed my E-mail address and passcode to access.
Totally infamous of me that I only got no friend request, 1 unread message and 3 notifications at all for two weeks without logging in.
I didn't tap the message as well as the notification buttons rather I scanned my news feed. Seeing most of my friends were posting about tomorrow's BIGGEST moments of their lives.
Well, I envied them. They could easily find one best shot for date.
I was in a deep thought when I heard the door buzzer echoed to the house. Outmindedly, I called out for Mom. Suddenly, I remember she has gone out with Dad. So, I had no choice but to go downstairs and to meet whoever outside the frontdoor.
Stomping feet, I descended on the wooden staircase.
I reluctantly opened the door matching with my left eyebrow raised. I didn't care if I looked totally bratty because for me, I am awesome and I felt shitty being stucked up at home lonesome, with my infamous stats in FB and this unexpected visit---
I hadn't finished my antagonizing lines when my almond eyes went OO and my pale face aglow but these lasted only in a flicker of moment.
"Mom told me that your mom called her up requesting me to accompany you here",informed by very, very, very gorgeously handsome twenty-two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. O'Connor, our neighbor, Jimmy.
I was certainly at the state of shock and wonderstruck by his appearance that all I could do was to nod, then shrugged and uttered,"Fine".
I knew it was a bratty remark but I'm glad because I had saved myself up from complete embarassment.
He just crashed the forming clouds above my head when he told me," I don't want to be here any but just being obedient to a request. I'd like it if you're that bratty to me for the whole time because I willn't last long here either".
I was having my momentum on what he'd said. Then, I decided to outwit him when he continued.
"So, can I enter now? In your house? Before Mom could see us and ask me why it took so long for me to enter. You know, I hate many explanations" he added with an expressionless face.
I absent-mindedly stepped back twice to give him an entrance.
"Ahm,s-suit yourself. I'm just upstairs in case something's up", I stutterly uttered.
