Chapter 17- Oblivious

Chaos's POV

I opened my eyes, sitting up and yawning in my bed... Wait no... What... The ground? Oh right... I remembered what had happened yesterday with Herobrine, and all his frightening plans to use me, in fact, he was using me right now. Ugh, how am I going to prevent his plan from going into action? I wasn't able to tell them, since he would then just kill them, and he had partial control over my body, so he could stop me from doing something, or even force me to do something. I thought about all the possible choices I could make, and decided on one. I would run away. I sprinted quickly through the forest I was in, and went further and further away from where my friends were. Eventually, I began to pant and sweat, so I stopped running and sat down next to a tree. My throat was parched and my lips were dry, and so I began to search for some water. I came to a stream of water that was coming down from a mountain, and began to lap a lot of the heavenly liquid up. My thirst was quenched, and I could finally relax, but of course, that's when Herobrine, being the butt he is, showed up.
Hehe, hello Chaos...
Why are you here?...
Don't you remember your mission? You're part of my plan.
Why do you want to ruin so many people's lives? You've already ruined mine, and now you're going to destroy others' lives.
Because it's fun.
I can imagine your stupid face smiling right now.
Whatever. Just get on with your mission. Head towards the base.
No.
Don't make me do it Chaos. I know you don't want it to happen.
No.
Fine. I'll be taking the driver's seat for now.
I felt my body tense up as Herobrine began to control my movements. I tried to struggle against his actions, but it barely slowed him down. Everything he was doing was against my free will...
I've sprinted you towards the base, and you're quite close. I'll give you a second chance and let you go to the base on your own, alright?
I sighed mentally as I began to walk towards the base.

Sera's POV

Sky had brought us all into his office for a meeting, and talked to us about many important things.
"So, the most urgent thing right now, is that Chaos is with Herobrine again. We don't know what happened, or what could happen to him. Herobrine might use Chaos to his advantage again, and make him murder some of us, or maybe remove his memories and do something with him." Sky stated, fiddling with the budder nugget that was sitting on his table.
"When are we going to rescue him?" Ashley asked, looking at Sky.
"I was actually thinking about today."
"Yes, please, today would be good!" Ashley agreed, rapidly nodding.
"Alright, then today, we'll rescue Chaos. I'll give you half an his to gear up and get ready." Sky smiled, as we all exited the room.
I walked next to Ashley.
"Do you think we'll be able to save Chaos?" I asked.
"Definitely." She nodded confidently.
Everyone was down at the armoury, where most of the weapons were stored. I picked a diamond sword and put it into the sheathe. I saw Ashley pick a diamond sword with a slimmer blade, probably lighter and so you could attack faster. Ashley asked Deadlox what he picked, and he lifted his sword made out of pure obsidian. Obsidian chose an iron sword with a pretty big blade, but I thought he would also choose an Obsidian sword. (Haha sorry ;D) Nicole continued to look around the armoury until she finally found the sword she was looking for, which was a three-bladed diamond sword. It seemed a little heavy, but the damage it dealt would probably be much more. Jade and Metta both had diamond swords, just like me. We had all chosen our weapons, and we all decided that we didn't need armour, so we met Sky at the main entrance.
"Are guys all ready? Do you have everything you need? Are your shoes tied?" Sky spoke seriously, but then broke into a fit of laughter at the end.
I looked down at my brown combat boots, and saw that my laces were a bit loose, so I went down on one knee and began to tie up my shoes again.
"Okay, now are we all ready?" Sky smirked, looking at me.
"Yep." I deadpanned, looking at him.
"Alright! You guys should all remember where Herobrine's underground castle is, since we infiltrated it not long ago. Good luck!" Sky cheered as he opened the front door.
But then something unexpected happened...

Chaos's POV

I stood in front of the main doors, preparing to knock when they magically opened up and made my eyes widen in fear.
Remember, if they ask you how you're here, just say that you escaped again.
I smiled sadly, looking at the ground, but then looked at my friends again, who all had weapons.
"Chaos? Wh-what? How are you here?" Ashley asked, surprised.
I took a deep breath and began to lie to my friends.
"I escaped. Herobrine was kinda stupid and forgot to take away my weapons, so I used my diamond karmabits to break through the cell wall." I chuckled nervously.
Ashley ran up to me and gave me a warm hug, which I gladly returned. How I wished that I didn't need to betray them...

Deadlox's POV

"Sky, does this mean we don't have to go to Herobrine for now?" I asked, sheathing my obsidian sword.
"No, not for now at least." He answered, looking over at Chaos, "why don't you join your friends and hug him?"
I nodded, running up to my friends, who were in a group hug and joined them.

Herobrine's POV

Oh how oblivious they are. Chaos will be taking a life every night, without him knowing. He'll think that he was sleeping all night, but really, I'll be using his body for murder. I laughed. They don't know that their end is soon to come...

Sorry for late chappie.
Had to wake up early yesterday because I needed to go to one of my sister's university presentation thingies, since she had gone to Africa for four months to help.
Yeah, I'm kinda losing interest in this book...
Like in Wrath of The Enderdragon, I hit 2k reads in chapter 18.
Right now, I'm on chapter 17, and haven't hit 1k yet.
And btw I was reading my own book and realized that I had held my character contest on the 18th chapter for 2k reads.
I have almost 8k now.
