Okay, I know I don't write well, but I wanted to see what people said. I got really bored and wrote this. Please comment and tell me what you think.

Exy walked slowly up the spiral staircase of the mansion. Wow, she thought. It's so amazing here.

"Exy!" A shout came from below. Who could be here? No one ever comes to the mansion, at least not since some loser claimed it was haunted. Exy knew better though, she knew it was amazing and beautiful; even if it were haunted she would come.

The girl sighed and started to descend the steps to see who had arrived. When she got to the main floor she looked around. Now where did they go? All of the sudden someone screamed "Boo!" causing Exy to jump.

"OhMyGod! Nyck! What are you doing here!?" she screamed, hugging him.

"We're moving back, the parents decided they didn't like California. I haven't seen you in forever! How's my favorite neighbor doing?" Nyck asked. He had been her neighbor and best friend since she was seven. Seven years later his parents decided to move away to California, but keep the house here just in case. Now he was back, and Exy had her best friend again.

"Eh, not so good since you left. I mean, I don't have anyone to come here with anymore. I missed you!"

"Missed you, too. By the way, we still have yet to unravel the mystery of who lived here... Find anything girly, or were you so upset about me being gone you haven't been working?" He asked, knowing the answer. Exy loved mysteries, loved figuring things out... But when no one was there so she could have fun while searching for clues, nothing would ever be found.

"Um, yeah... About that..." Exy said slowly. Nyck just laughed.

"You haven't changed at all! I mean I was gone a whole two weeks! You would've thought something would have been different. Well, we should get to work soon then! I want to know who lived here before my parents decide to move again!" The clues they had so far were very strange. An old book on mythical creatures (vampires, werewolves and such), a painting of a woman's face... with vampire fangs, the basement walls had what looked to be blood all over, and many other things. So far they had come up with only one idea: a vampire.

The two began down into the basement, wondering what new clue they would discover today. Nyck and Exy were looking in a corner of a room, and then moved over a few large boxes. Behind the boxes was a glass window... and past the window was a girl. She looked about 17, a few years older then them, and she was crying.

Hearing them approach she looked up, and in under a second she was at the glass. "Help me! Please! I did not mean to kill the witch's child! I really didn't! Let me out!" The girl cried, banging on the glass. When she talked they noticed her teeth. Her pointy fangs, right there, clear as day.

"W-Who are you?" Exy questioned. The "vampire" girl was wearing clothes that might have been worn when they had the thirteen colonies in America. She was pale, and had deep black eyes that looked like they could swallow you whole. She was beautiful, but she was also very, very frightening.

"My name is Victoria. I do not go by Tori, Vicky, or any of those nonsense nicknames. I have been hidden in this room for over four hundred years. A witch trapped me here after killing her daughter. She cursed me to be able to live forever, which all of us can do, but I don't need blood. I can sit and live on nothing. I will never die, yet I will never live again. Do you understand how horrible it is to be stuck behind a glass wall for hundreds of years? Now, in case you did not notice, I am a vampire."

Exy and Nyck stood stunned. A vampire. That was who lived in this glorious house. A real Vampire. Wow.

"Victoria? If you are a vampire... how can you not escape the glass. I thought vampires were really strong and all," Nyck said curiously.

"Well you see, silly boy, most of what is in your books and movies is true. I will explain how I know of your movies and all later. But, the witch trapped me. And witches are very good at that. She put a spell on the glass, it cannot be shattered, cut, or even scratched until another witch takes the spell off. Now you two do need to get going now, your parents want you home for dinner. But please, come back tomorrow, not having company for so long is rather boring. Farewell, children."
