The Alpha's mate

Chapter 3

Zero's P.O.V

The bell had gone for the end of classes and I was feeling pretty nervous about the whole Alpha and the mate kind of thing. 'Would Alpha's only choose female's to be their mates?' I wondered as I left the classroom with a very confident Yuki walking next to me. 'Is there a chance the Alpha could be gay? I know wolfs don't really judge on gender. Any gender can love any gender but females tend to look cuter the some males! Also having a female for a mate would be a wise choice, spring is near and so mating season isn't too far away. Females have motherly instincts so they are naturally good with babies. Us males can have babies or in wolf terms 'Cubs' but we aren't really good at figuring out what they want when they start to cry. I actually heard that two male wolfs had four cubs in summer and because males don't have that motherly nature girls do I heard the four cubs all died. This is another reason to have a female as a mate.' I thought to myself as I had finally lined up in the line at the front of the gates.

When everyone was lined up in the line Kaname began walking up and down the line. All the girls tended to puff up their chests and of course Yuki also did the same. Kaname would stop at a few people before continuing to walk again, soon he was approaching me and Yuki. Kaname walked past Yuki not even sparing a glance at the girl, but he did stop in front of me. I looked into his eye's and he looked into mine, Red wine eye's stared into Lavender eye's. A glint of Loyalty flickered through his eye's before he began walking again and this time all the way down to the end of the line without stopping. "Have you chosen your mate?" Crossed asked loud enough for everyone to hear, Kaname nodded and everyone began to freak. Kaname walked back down the line making everyone he walked past have sad faced. Kaname stopped walking and stood in between me and Yuki. 'This is it. He is going to choose Yuki.' I thought and then closed my eyes and bowed my head.

Yuki began giggling as she knew it was going to be her. I then heard a loud gasp come from Yuki. I felt something circle my waist and then felt a nose pressed against my sensitive spot in my neck. I opened my eyes and raised my head in shock to see it was Kaname with his face buried in my neck and his tail around my waist. "Will you Zero be my mate?" Kaname asked and pulled away from my neck and looking into my eye's. That same glint of Loyalty flickered through his eye's again. "Maybe you should think about a different mate. Zero has never had interest in anyone before. What makes you think he'll like a Alpha like you?" Yuki asked with jealously obviously dripping into her words. Kaname looked at Yuki and tilted his head to the side questionably. "Take me for example. I'll be the perfect mate for mating season and I'll be the perfect mother of OUR cubs." Yuki stated making my eye's widen. I looked at Kaname who twitched his ear a bit, He removed his tail from around my waist and then stood in front of Yuki, he bent down to her level in height and grabbed her chin gently between his slender fingers. 'Please don't kiss her.' I pleaded in my head and looked at the two wolfs.

"I have no doubt that Zero would make the perfect mother if he were to have my cubs and all Zero needs to do now is accept or reject being my mate." Kaname stated and then stood back up he looked at me and at the same time, everyone else in the line did to. "So Zero~.....will you accept being my mate or will you reject it?" Kaname asked tilting his head to the side cutely. 'This was a lot of pressure for me, I mean how often does someone get to be the mate of a Alpha wolf! I'm a ordinary wolf! Everyone else are higher class then me, EVEN YUKI!!! So why would he choose me?' I wondered, I snapped out of my thinking when i noticed i was still being stared at by everyone. I looked at Kaname and took a deep breath in. "Alpha......" I stated and said making him perk up as he heard my voice. Yuki next to me was whispering "Say no. Say no. Say no." silently to herself. "I would.....love to be your mate." I stated making Yuki groan loudly, Kaname hug me tightly, Cross break out crying and saying how I'm growing up so fast and the other wolfs clapped loudly.

Kaname let go of me and pulled me out of the line gently, He then held my hand gently as he turned us both around to look at the group. "Now that I have found my mate it is time to form a pack of ten member's! Please raise your hand if you would like to join our pack." Kaname stated making everyone raise their hand quickly, Kaname looked at me and smiled. "You choose four and i'll choose four." Kaname stated making me nod, he then walked over to the end of the line and began searching through people. I walked over to Yuki who looked angry, I understand she did just witness her crush telling someone else to be their mate in front of her eyes. "Yuki would you like to be apart of the pack?" I asked, Yuki shook her head as a no and then looked away from me. 'I should let her cool off.' I thought and then walked to my other friends and watched as they smiled at me happily.

Me and Kaname returned back to where we were standing together. I chose Aido, akatsuki, Rima, Shiki while Kaname chose Maria, Takuma, Ruka and Seiren. Cross told the others that weren't chose to head to their dorm's for the night. All of us got into a circle and looked at each other before looking at the Alpha. "If you join this pack you must be loyal and respectful to both me and my mate understood?" Kaname stated making everyone nod, I felt my cheeks go red as he called me his mate. I'm not really use to it yet. "And no trying to seduce my mate. I heard a Alphas mate was seduced by a pack member and the Alpha went into killing mode and killed everyone." Kaname stated seriously, Everyone looked at each other and then nodded. "Most of us here already have mates. We were just forced to come here by Cross." Seiren stated making nearly everyone nod in the pack.

"Really?" Kaname asked dumbfounded. "Seiren is not the woman to lie to a Alpha for anyone at that." Aido stated to Kaname, Aido then held Akatsuki's hand. "My mate is Akatsuki." Aido brightly said, "And my mate is Shiki." Takuma stated next to Kaname. "My mate is Ruka." Seiren said calmly. "And I'm still single. But thats how I want to be." Rima stated and ate some pocky which shiki begged for. Kaname nodded and looked at me with a smile on his face. He looked at the group and smiled at them gently. "You may all get some rest now." He said to the group and then watched as they bowed and left hand in hand with there mate apart from Rima who was still eating pocky. "Cross moved your stuff to my room. Would you like to come with me?" Kaname asked and held his hand out. I smiled and held my boyfriend slash mate's hand. "Of course." I said and then we both began walking to Kaname's dorm.
