Bea Ashby:

"He's not crazy, Beatrice." Dad rolls his eyes at me as he pours himself a cup of coffee. "But he's from the jungle! How can you just let a total stranger into our home!" I shout. It's official, I'm the only sane person in this house.

First, Jennifer goes bat shīt crazy, actually she always was, then Noah and now my dad. They've pulled him to the dark side.

"I got to know him. He just needs to adjust and experience living in a real home, not in that gloomy institution. He needs to know what a family is. He doesn't have anyone, Bea." His words hit a spot in my heart.

My dad takes a small sip of his coffee, "His father passed away a few years ago and for all we know, his mother, who isn't even identified yet, could be dead too." The sound of high heels clicking against the floor is heard and I slump back into my chair.

Soon, Jennifer enters the kitchen. "Good morning," She smiles, passing by my father.

They share a quick kiss and I look away. Yuck.

Jennifer glances at me, sending a curt nod my way which causes her tight blonde ponytail to swish back. How does she not get headaches? Seriously, her ponytails are always so tight! At the moment, my own hair was covered by the hood of my sweater so she couldn't see the damage her infuriating son did to my hair.

"Oh, look at the time, I have to get going." I sigh, getting up to grab my bag. It's only August and school starts in a few weeks. I'm not ready to go back. I enjoy not having to spend seven hours in that hell hole that we call school.

"Have fun," Dad calls out and I head out. I get into my black Audi and start my drive to Jamie's place. You see, I love my car the same way Stiles Stilinski loves his jeep. I got this car for my seventeenth birthday and I really love it.

I knock on Jamie's door which opens almost immediately. She has her hands covering her eyes when I see her. "I can't look. How bad is it?" She questions frantically, hands still shielding her eyes from view.

I snort, shutting the door behind me. "I have my hoodie on, Jamie. Just open your eyes and help make this puke green colour go away." I pout, removing her hands off her face.

"Ashby!" A new voice pipes in and I feel my hood be yanked down in a matter of seconds.

I yelp, pulling the hood back over my green hair, turning to glare at the culprit.

Hayden.

He grins, showing off his pearly white teeth. A low whistle passes his lips, "Nice hair, Beatrice. I'm so glad you matched your hair to my favourite colour." He jokes and I lightly punch his arm.

"Oh, shush you. This is an emergency, Jamie," I nod my head to the side and she runs up the stairs with me behind her.

Hayden is Jamie's older brother. He's older than us by a year. Jamie and Hayden don't exactly look alike. Jamie is short and has jet black hair with hazel eyes. She's also quite pale whereas her brother is tall, athletic and tan with light brown hair and bright green eyes. Their personalities are also quite different.

"Okay, let's take a look at what I can do." She starts pulling out different types of shampoo, brushes, towels, and just anything that she could possibly use to get the hair dye out. "This is going to take us awhile."

~

"Aw, I was really digging the green hair," Hayden teases when Jamie and I enter the living room. It took us a good few hours, but Jamie managed to get most of the green hair dye out my hair.

I stick my tongue out at him and flop down onto the large couch. "Bea, are you coming to the Berrough's brunch this Sunday?" Jamie asks.

"Probably not," I sigh, remembering how this weekend Justin, the jungle boy, would be moving right in. 'Don't think of this as a punishment anymore, Bea. Think of it as doing something good and helping someone out.' my dad had said last night before I went to bed.

It just wasn't fair! I wish he just took away my credit card or something. "Bummer," Hayden replies, flickering through the channels. Jamie stands up saying she's going to ask their home chef, Christina, to make some food for us. Hayden finally picks a channel and just my luck, they're talking about Justin Bieber.

"It was just confirmed this morning that Justin Bieber, the boy from the jungle, will be leaving the institution to be watched by Dr. Ashby in his own home." The reporter speaks directly to the camera with a photo of Justin on the top of the screen besides another photo of my dad.

Hayden's green eyes widen and he looks over at me in disbelief. "You're kidding!"

I roll my eyes, "I wish. It's my punishment for setting poop on fire in Noah's bedroom." I cross my arms over my chest and slump back into the couch.

I was seriously not looking forward to this.
