They always told me "don't marry a white boy"
He'll love you and leave you
Use you and abuse you
Soak you dry and leave you without ever a goodbye
And his family will never accept you
Don't marry a white boy

They always told me "don't marry a Latino boy"
People will hate you no matter how successful you become
They will pity you because of where yall are from
You're already a minority don't be dumb
You will struggle for the rest of your life
Don't marry a Latino boy

They always told me "marry a boy within your race"
He will treat you like a queen
Because his mama taught him right
And stick together forever
So your kids will have a daddy to look up to
Marry a boy within your race

Do you see the flaw in this?
We live in "The Great Melting Pot"
Yet we are raised to marry within our race
A white boy is too good for me
A Latino boy couldn't be accepted with me
And a black boy will be perfect for me

Why do we have so many flaws in society?
A man can marry a man and a female and female
Yet an African descent will never be good enough for a european...because of her skin?
What kind of twisted paradox are we in?
