Song 7: Part Of Me

“Okay then. See you in Seoul.” I said and hugged her. I hugged the rest of her gang after her.

“Sige na girls. Behave ha? We’ll see you soon.” Sabi niya at hinatid na kami sa loob ng private jet.

“Bye Nikki. See you soon.” I said as she walked farther away from us.

“You ready for this girls?” I asked as I turned to look at my friends.

“Hell yeah!” Lauren said.

“You bet I am!” Keira

“Same here!” Kiara

“Ugh! Ready as I’ll ever be.” Zoey.

Why is it always like this? I always end up so close, yet so far to her.

I watched as the jet took off, taking her away from me. Why must fate play with us? Why must karma hit me so hard?

I walked towards Nikki who has her back turned against me.

“Hey.” I said.

“Hey Seth.” She said, still not turning to look at me.

“How long have you known?” I asked her.

“Hmmm, 3 weeks now?” She said, still not looking.

“How?” I asked, curiously.

“Oh please! I know everything, Seth.” She said as she turned to face me, smirking.

“Then you also know where she’s going?” I asked, more like I stated.

“Thanks for that, Captain Obvious. I sent her to Seoul. We’ll join them soon. You could come if you want. But you can’t make your move on her yet. Atleast not until she’s strong enough to face another heartbreak.” Nikki told me.

“I would never break her heart. I would never hurt her.”

“You got it hard huh? But how would you keep her heart from breaking, when you’re a notorious heartbreaker?” She challenged.

“I’ve changed. And I will prove it.” I said firmly.

“Well, start packing because you’re coming with us. Let’s see how far your love for her will take you.” She said and turned around to walk away.

A little bit of hope grew inside me. I’ll see you soon my angel. Even if I can’t get close to you for now. I’m contented with just seeing you, hearing your voice from afar. Anything. Maghihintay ako. Para lang sa’yo. Para sa’yo, magbabago ako. Kahit mahirap, kakayanin ko. Para sa’yo, handa ‘kong magpakatino.

But I hope it doens’t go on for that long. I’m not a very patient person.
