(Day 2)

*sigh* Walking, walking and more walking, it's all rather dull. Even Oliver seems slightly unnerved now, but I have checked up on the map, and it does seem we are nearly a quarter way through, so no worries...

I'm worrying.....

*Sigh*

"W-wow, look at that! Is it a... skeleton?" oliver suddenly called out, ponting. I followed his finger to see a rather menacing-looking skeleton "Um.... that's..... disturbing?" i ask nervously.
The sight of a skeleton... Brings up bad memories...

I run toward the burning village, tears welling up in my eyes as I scream. The air feels like I just walked into a furnace, but I keep running, until I find my parent's house. I tug at a charred price of wood. Seeing that it's not going to move, I just scream.

"MUUM! DAAAD!" I collapse to my knees after hearing no reply. I try to stop sobbing. I turn to run away, when I see it.

I saw it right there, with my own two eyes.

I saw my mothers burnt skeleton.

And I screamed and ran.

I scream and clutch my head as I collapse. "Aika!" I hear several voices shout, but it all sounds muffled and weird. I just scream and scream and scream. I hear somebody talk to me. "AIKA WHATS WRONG?!" "MUUUUUM!" I howl before falling unconscious.

When I wake up I'm lying on a flat price of stone. I remember and start to sob again. "Your awake?" The voice sounds bored but slightly worried.. Though it is obvious they are trying to hide it. I turn my head and see Gascon kneeling beside me. "I..." I stop and suddenly pull him in for a hug crying. He froze like a statue.

After 3 seconds of awkward hug he pulls away, bright red. "What happened?" He asks gently but firmly, and I sigh. "I just.. That skeleton made me remember something I didn't want to.."

"Care to elaborate?" He asks bluntly and I sigh.

"My village was a small one, not known by many. Everyone there was very kind, including my mother. All of us lived peacefully for so long.
For my 7th birthday mother gave me my first wand. Nothing fancy, but I was ecstatic to try out some magic. I practiced for a little while, until I ran out of manna.
There was actually a small fountain that replenishes manna only a couple fields away, so I decided to use them. But..."
I swallow thickly.
"When I came back to the village, it was all up in flames. Buildings just weren't there anymore, just a sea of red flame.
I ran down into it, to make sure my parents were safe.. But.. As you might have expected..
They didn't make it. And before I ran off, the last thing I saw was my mum's skeleton..."

After finishing I broke down in sobs.

Gascon hugged me and I cried until Oliver and the rest came back.

Then we set off again.
