The things we long for are so beautiful

and their shine is so bright because we can't reach them.

The pieces of your shattered dream pierce into my heart,

I can never forget the pain that is carved there.

-- Moments, Hamasaki Ayumi.

Hello! Those who are re-reading Paper Wishes from the beginning may notice that this prologue has changed. Previously I had a few lyrics written from Wang LeeHom's song, "Last Night" which was featured in the well-known Japanese film Moon Child. Unfortunately, many people chose to interpret the words negatively which made me sad. Personally, I think the song is very moving and I imagine it as someone who loves and cherishes a significant person in their lives so much that they don't know how to express the gratitude for the time they have with that person.

Anyway, after some thought I decided to swap "Last Night" by LeeHom to "Moments" by Hamasaki Ayumi. This song ("Moments") is very precious to me because it is one of the things that led to me writing "Paper Wishes"! I also wanted to mention that I was really happy that @_AmandaCruz and @datplasticbag_were familiar with LeeHom's music and love him too! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)Thank you to everyone else who just read the lyrics and took them at face value without making a negative comment. ( ◡‿◡ ♡)

If you want to listen to "Moments" I've placed it in the media above. If you're interested in listening to "Last Night" by LeeHom, here is a link to one of his live performances:
