“You know what dad? If you like him so much, why don’t you date him and marry him instead?” sabi ko sa kanya. Yeah. I am a bitch. (-____-)

“WATCH YOUR MOUTH! AND GO AROUND BEING A SMARTASS ON ME!” He yelled yet again.

“Oh, I can. And I will.” I said and turned around to leave.

“YOU WILL NO DISRESPECT ME LIKE THAT! I AM YOUR FATHER!” His voice boomed.

I turned around and faced him.

“You lost the right to be my dad when you abandoned and neglected us 10 years ago, DAD.” I said and quickly went upstairs as I fought my treacherous tears from coming out. I reached my room and locked myself up. I cried and cried till there was nothing left.

*knock knock*

“Denise, dear. It’s me.” My mom said.

I got up and went to open the door for her. She walked in with sadness and pity written all over her face as she closed and locked the door.

“Sorry anak. I tried to stop him. I knew you’d fight again.” Sabi niya habang nakayuko.

“Mom, it’s okay. It’s not your fault.” I said, comforting her. She hugged me.

“Maybe you need to go have fun with your friends. Just to cool you off.” My mom suggested.

“Maybe. Are you sure you’ll be okay here?” Tanong ko sa kanya.
