POV : 3rd

It was 11:30, half an hour before midnight when he had chose to occupy the empty space across the girl with the over-sized sweater, a warm drink in hand. She had been breathing in the scent of bitter coffee and baked muffins whilst she wrapped her slim, petite fingers around the floral designed tumbler, her nails painted matte turquoise.

Although intrigued by the new presence, she brought the drink to her cherry red coated lips almost naturally and waited. The curious glances she had given off went unnoticed by the male who had been sitting at the other end of the small, wooden table, even after what seemed like hours to the girl had passed. He had been in the midst of raising his cup of vanilla latte for the umpteenth time when she had finally allowed the words to roll off her tongue and into the warm, cinnamon scented air.

" I don't reckon you'd mind passing the napkin, would you? " He raised an eyebrow at the sudden request but without a word, reached toward the stand behind him that held the napkins before handing a piece to the girl across him. " Thank you, " She said, a small smile playing by her lips as she continued to speak, " That would have been too bothersome for me to do. "

The male shifted in his seat, seemingly interested by her as he questioned her words, " Too bothersome to grab hold of a napkin? " She chuckled and took a sip of her iced coffee before responding to the other, " To move. " At her reply, the edge of his lips twitched into a grin and with a hint of sarcasm, he said " How lovely. " The girl with the over-sized sweater shrugged as she playfully agreed, " I suppose so. "
