Chapter 30: Learning

-No. You're not gonna get involved! This is something I have to do alone! I can't risk her running of again or getting the idea that I might hurt her! You need to let me do this.- I denied their help.

-We understand your motives completely dear friend. We would have let you do this alone if it weren't for a few complications.- Meh-Dyl seemed quite worried. -Kyl, tell him.-

Weh-Kyl was annoyed by the idea that he had to tell me anything. But he did.

There is also strong proof that actual Sepellions have joined them. We believe it is a scout party, however, it would the first time they sent one. They must think that there is an actual threat to them here.-

-And you don't?!- I caught him in a nasty position.

-The only actual threat here is the capital ship in orbit. And guess what?! It's not yours.- he replied aggressively.

-So it's true. There is no chance of us winning this.- I added.

-Listen kid, I do not know what pushes you to do this, but you haven't met the Sepellions yet! The real ones. If you think the Devourers are dangerous, wait to meet the Sepellion Tormentors. The elite soldiers. They are the strongest among them, and beside that, they're countless compared to the little band of soldiers you have been gathering.-

-Shut up!- Meh-Dyl stopped Weh-Kyl from continuing with the intimidation. -Aevos, you had asked Xel-Kas back on the ship what is an Enerolog. Let me explain you a few things.- he separated me from Leh-nna and Weh-Kyl who continued towards the rail station. -I've come to know that you have used the Elesphere, more than once.-

-The what?!-

-Elesphere. The energy blast on the palm of your hand.- he clarified. -You see, you just started to create it. That is not even the first level of using it, and yet you have managed to take down Devourers with it. Even the aberration of Earther and Sepellion mutations.-

-You mean Bex?!- I didn't like the way he applied it.

-I'm sorry. Yes. Your friend. Anyway, it means that your energy is very strong. We classify the strength of energies by elements. For example.- he rose his hand and started creating and energy sphere on the palm of his hand. It had grown into a round shape with bursts of lighting-like spikes. -This type is lighting. However, it has nothing to do with the element of lighting.

-Wait wait, since when is lighting an element?!- I was confused.

-You have still a lot to learn. It's not the strength of the energy that shapes into different forms. It's the character of the energy. It can be used variously. To stabilize something, to carry something, to heal someone, to break, to kill, to rip apart, to burn.- 

-I get the picture!- 

-You need to know how to choose which character you will use. But you won't be able to use all of them. Only some will be available to you. It is astonishing that you can even make it. This was unexpected.- Meh-Dyl kept talking. -You still haven't formed any character, so it was just raw energy up until now. You know how to absorb the energy, and you know how to create the Elesphere. Now you need to know how to use it.-

-There's no time for that! I need to get to Amy!- I wasn't about to spend time on some magic.

-Aevos! Amy is in the middle of the Sepellion cluster. She is the one controlling the Devourers!- he struck me with an information that tore me apart and left me cold. I shook my head in disbelief.

-She has to. She can't fight it! You need to be ready to face a real Sepellion! You can't go in there like this, you'll get killed in no time. If you want to help her, you need to get to her first, and in order to do that, we need to go through an army of those wretched monsters.- he didn't seem to content with it either. I was angry right now! I clenched my fists and started absorbing random energy from around and bursting it into the hand. I had then opened my left palm and rose it up to my face, looking at the sphere morphing on it, illuminating with a purple shade to the golden aura in the energy sphere, burning my mutated hand. I dispersed the energy and waved the hand trying to cool it down. Meh-Dyl was looking at me with his luminous eyes wide open.

-Oh my Elen!- he said. -It is really true.-

-What is?!-

-I'll tell you when you're ready.-

-Why the fuck are you Prodyans so damn annoyingly mysterious?!-

-That's a trait. But what you just did, is something no Prodyan could. Only someone with Sepellion and Prodyan traits in him could create the Elesphere of Energy on his hand. Nothing else could sustain that power. It even burned your hand. That's how intense it is.-

-You just said you classified the energy by elements, than how is this the Elesphere of Energy?!-

-Energy, itself, is an element. The purest, the strongest and the first element in existence. Energy.- Meh-Dyl seemed out of his mind. In a good way.

-So what do we do?!- I asked him.

-We, don't do anything. You. You're gonna do everything. Now, show me that again.- he asked me rubbing his hands. This was as much of an excitement to me as it was for him. It appears that there are secrets to evolution that no one could have guessed. But I'm about to experience some. And I was so fucking proud of it I smiled like I never did. This is what I was meant to be. Be different.
