It makes you feel unreal, like an actor in those Hollywood movies and TV shows. Walking into a deserted and destroyed city, with empty cars on the highway, things just left behind all around, doors and windows wide open, everything abandoned in a rush. The city of Stuttgart had suffered a lot. Craters all around from bombs, rockets and grenades, bullet holes in walls and cars, remains of bodies that even the animals didn't find eatable. Yet still, a smile on my face seemed morbid and inappropriate in this situation. The smile was from the thought of the convoy being safe, of it growing in number and strength. In addition to it all, witnessing the fact that we are not alone in this. The Prodyans really kept their word and saved the convoy when they had faced an imminent threat.
'Had you even doubted?!' Leh-nna interrupted my thoughts.
-Not for a second.- I smiled walking down the Hauptstatter street in the center of the city, which leads towards the main railway station.
'You know, we might be walking into a trap.' Leh-nna was cautious.
-I know. Actually, I think we are.- I agreed.
'And you just keep going?!'
-What could possibly happen? I've got you by my side.-
'Right. That's not what you're going for, is it?' she knew there was something behind my intentions.
-You know that already, so why do you even ask?!-
'Stop.' she suddenly halted.
-What?!- I looked at her. She had her eyes closed. She felt something. -What is it?! And where?!-
'It's just ahead of us, and... that's strange.' Leh-nna opened up her eyes and looked towards the roof of a nearby building.
-Don't keep me on edge!- I was impatient.
'We've got guests.' she still kept it mysterious.
-Aevos!- a strong animal voice with a serious intonation to it spooked me from behind. A bulky Prodyan appeared in front of me with big scars on the left side of his face. -I've heard you've grown stronger!- he swung his hand to punch me in the chest but I blocked just in time. The hit was still quite strong and almost knocked me down.
-Weh-Kyl.- I replied recovering from the punch. -You're still the same dick.- I replied with a smile. He growled at me but kept his pride and didn't continue his test on me.
-Calm down Kyl. One day he will be stronger than you.- another Prodyan appeared. It was Meh-Dyl. The scientific one. His crest was much more smooth than the one of Weh-Kyl and he appeared more humane than the beast looking general.
-Right!- Weh-Kyl snapped.
-What are you guys doing here?!- I wasn't sure how to feel seeing them.
-Come. We'll explain you on the way. We have to get to the railway station.- Meh-Dyl said and kept walking down the same road. -We failed to establish communications with Leh-nna due to some interference we couldn't identify. Xel-Kas immediately sent us to intercept you here and assist you if you needed help.- he was talking with majestic steps he took. His tails were swinging as he was walking. He wore a tight body clothing over his torso and had something like a skirt over his pelvis covering it from all sides.
-Help with what?!- I asked.
-Do not be rude with us, boy!- Weh-Kyl interfered. -You should be grateful we came.-
-No one asked you to.- I replied rudely.
-You brat!- he was frustrated but kept his cool.
-Listen, Aevos, we came here with help against the one you're chasing. She poses a big threat to you and we can't allow anything to happen to you, or the convoy.- Meh-Dyl continued.
