Step by step, carefully walking around the same cave we recently ran away from, looking for those creatures. The Sepellion Devourers. Leh-nna was trying to sense them but failed in the attempt. I approached the same corridor from which the beasts first came. I looked down with my left eye and couldn't see any varieties in temperature. It was an empty corridor. There were two other but with no results either.

'We'll go down this one.'  I told Leh-nna via Psi-com. There was no need for voice as they would probably here it.

'Why that one?' she asked.

'That's where they first came from.' I explained and stepped inside the middle corridor in the big cave. She followed closely. The flashlight was turned off, as I could see everything in blue colours. I hate the blue colour. It's a cold, passive and empty one, no life, no warmth. It's just a depth filled with emptiness. We were deep in the corridor now and reached a small area that was widening. I stepped on something and cracking noises echoed throughout the small cave room. I turned on the flashlight and uncovered a new skeleton from the veil of shadows. But it wasn't human. It was the creature Eugene and I had slain not to long ago. It was licked clean. Every piece of it. The skeleton was clean white. It was surprising it wasn't in a different colour. They devour it completely. Eaten by it's own kin.

'Cannibalism. That's what they do. Don't waste anything. Devour everything.'  Leh-nna said.

We kept walking down the same corridor and I still couldn't notice a difference in the ambient. Cold walls, deep underground. We came to a crossing. Two new corridors splitting at diagonally form the one we came from.

'Now what?!' I was stuck.

'What do you see?' she asked me.

'Nothing. Just emptiness.'

'We'll have to choose then.'

'Left. I like left. I'm left-handed.' I said.

'Alright.' she didn't argue at all. We walked down the left corridor which was going downhill. It was an empty circular cave three meters wide. Nothing but rock surrounding us. I found it strange that there were no support pillars down here, or no old lights. We hit a dead end.

-Damn it.- I said out loud.

'You're right to say that. Now we're cornered.' Leh-nna sounded worried. 'That's what they were waiting for.'

'What?!'  I was concerned after her words. And then a roar echoed through the caves. A snarling, vicious animal roar filled the emptiness. A few joined it.

'That's usually the last sound you hear if they hunt you.' Leh-nna added.

-Nice. Then why didn't you stop me from going?!-

'I said if they hunt you. That doesn't mean you can't kill them. That is the last sound in any case.'

-Well that's reassuring.- I was sarcastic pointing my FN SCAR assault rifle up the corridor.

'Shot as soon as you see them. When you empty your first magazine I'm going in. Than be careful of what you shoot.' she said.

-Got it.-

I was looking cautiosly up the corridor waiting for the first beast to show up. Steps and crumbles were heard. Snarling noises, quiet roars were approaching. Any second now, they will swarm down the corridor.

-How many could there be?-

'A dozen.'

-Good to know.- I was keeping calm but in my head I was crying like a baby cursing myself for ever going in. Now! I pressed the trigger as the first one entered the corridor. They were incredibly fast downhill. It seemed as if they were gliding.
