Chapter 18: Search & Rescue

Location: Bunker Facility Level 1

-Damn! Where'd you get that car?!- Nidia yelled as she walked into the garage noticing me looking at the weapons in the trunk of the Camaro. She was ready for war. She had an M16 standard military rifle and grenade launcher attachment. She was cute as always. Short, light brown eyed with a wide smile and round cheeks, and enormously breasted for her height. Behind her I noticed Alexandra with a big weapon case she pulled after her. She had two KRISS Super V Uzis strapped to her belt. 

-Hello Lara Croft!- I joked. 

-Hello yourself.- she replied and yawned. After her came Eugene accompanied by Despo and Dino. Eugene was subtle. He had to Maxsell Jackall pistols, but packed with blades on all over his vest. Despo had two AA-12 automatic shotguns. Dan joined us quickly. 

-Well? Anyone else?- I was actually surprised. I expected two or three persons. 

-YES!- I yell from the other side of the garage was heard. We all looked towards the source of the voice and noticed a surprising sight. 

-Mike?!- Nidia said stupefied. He was on his legs. -But your leg?!- 

-Yeah, great, isn't it?!- he smiled. -I'm becoming a robot.-

-How?!- I was surprised. He had a bionic prosthetic leg instead of his natural. 

-Well, it took us all night but the guys from the NATO pulled it off. One of them is a bionic engineer and he had a leg in their truck so he offered it to me. And I said what the hell! And now, ...- he was moving the leg around,- ... I have a new leg.- he was happy. 

-I'm glad for you. Are you sure you can already use it normally?- I asked him. 

-Oh they have a software that actually gives you the ability to use it with no problem. Kind of like in the matrix, except the needle in the brain isn't that big.- he explained. -But hey, it's time to go, isn't it?!- 

-Yeah, we should go. But we're going to need another set of wheels. Actually two.- I remembered that we had to put Tony, Phillip and the rest somewhere once we rescued them. 

-Oh, don't worry. We have a few rides.- Nidia said. 

-Really?! That's not what I've seen.- I said. 

-Well, they ain't here. Their in the side garage. Three cars.- she explained. She loved cars, especially when it was about speed. She walked to a big gate and opened it. Behind it, three covered vehicles. She took the covers of a VW Touraeg, tuned and armored, and a BMW 545. An old one, but it was a BMW. 

-Good enough?!- she asked. 

-Hell yeah.- I smiled. -Alright, anybody wanna go with me?!- 

'I will!'  I heard her. Leh-nna jumped beside me. Eugene, Despo and Mike jumped. They still haven't got adjusted to her presence. 

-Alexa. Mike and Dan can come with me in the Touraeg, Eugene, Despo and Dino in the BMW.- Nidia said. 

-Sounds good. Let's go.- everybody nodded. I sat in the Camaro, turned the key and started the engine. The garage gates into the tunnel was wide open. I punched the throttle and drove off into it. I was speeding. 100 km/h already. I forgot that the tunnel was a bit tilted and I was going upwards. At the end of it I realised it, but I already flew out and landed a few meters further. I stopped and looked at the sky. It was still night time, but on the horizon, the darkness was lighting up, slowly. After me, the Touraeg and the BMW exited the tunnel. Both of them had roll cages, steel frames over the windshield and a thick plating. Almost like tanks.
