The four boys were sitting up in Luke's room all huddled around the game station taking turns playing. Michael sat typing on his phone while the other boys played. He never really got involved with them unless was forced too by their parents. He tried to mostly keep to himself at all times. When Luke and Ben were done with their turn playing the game, Luke nudged Michaels arm. "You want to play?" Luke gave him a small smile in hopes that he'd take the offer and involve himself. Michael looked up from his phone and shook his head. "I'm alright, thanks though."

The three other boys continued playing the game before they all were called downstairs by their parents. "Boys, Daryl and I have a few important meetings to go to, and they happen to be across the country. And we were thinking that since we'll be down there so long that you guys could stay here, under a few conditions."

The boys were eager to finally have freedom from their parents and just have time for them before school started. "No parties, curfew is still the same and don't try and not obey that rule, no having girls spend the night, and no illegal substances, we're trusting you guys." Liz reminded the boys of the rules, with a nod of approval from Daryl seconding what his wife had said. "Ben, you're the oldest so we expect full responsibility from you to watch and be the one in charged.", their dad added.

Ben cracked a big smile, "Don't worry mom and Daryl, the boys and the house are in good hands." The other boys already knew what Ben was thinking and how stupid it was of their parents to put him in charge.

After a week and a half of their parents nagging about keeping in contact with them, behaving and following Bens orders, they left. Leaving the boys and the house for the next few weeks alone.

The first night went smoothly, and the house wasn't burned down yet, but the next, Ben suggested having a party because of school starting soon, and wanting to end the Summer with a party that they'd be talking about all school year. Luke and Jack of course agreed but not Michael. "Did you guys even listen when dad and Liz went over our rules?" He piped in while they were talking about it. "C'mon Mikey, don't be such a buzzkill. They'll never find out." Jack told the younger boy. "I'm not being a buzzkill, I'm being smart, something you three have never heard of obviously if you think this is a good idea."

They were taken back by his comment seeing as Michael had never stuck up for something he thought was right. He was the quiet follower that did whatever they told him too. He didn't have friends. He had himself, and that was it. "Whatever, were still having the party. If you really don't want us too, just stay upstairs." He shook his head and walked up the stairs to his bedroom mentally cursing himself out for even saying anything to them and wishing he hadn't.

In a few hours, you could hear music blaring, the house was vibrating and full of drunk teenagers. Luke and Jack invited almost the whole school. Seeing as how they were popular and everyone liked them. Michael put his headphones in trying to drown out the music coming from underneath him but it didn't work. Soon there was a knock at his door that he hoped he could ignore long enough for whoever it was to go away, but when his door opened, he knew that wouldn't happen.

Luke's P.O.V:
I wasn't drunk. Tipsy? Maybe. The music blared through my ears and it felt like bliss.

My house was so crowded, moving through everyone was a difficult task. I finally found my friends, Ashton and Calum, sitting on my couch with random girls on their laps that probably would be replaced with new ones in a matter of hours.

Ashton had a picture frame in his hand and the four of them laughing at it. "What do you guys have here?" I asked them sitting in between them grabbing the picture frame out of their hands. It was a family photo we had done not to long ago. My mom and Daryl sitting on a couch in front of us four boys. Me next to a red headed Michael, with my arm wrapped around his shoulder and his around my waist. Ben and Jack on the other side doing the same. "Why would you let a faggot touch you like that, Luke?" Calum laughed while looking down at the picture and taking it from my hands so they could make more jokes.

I tuned them out before standing up and making my way through the crowd, mostly couples dancing and grinding on each other. I walked directly to Michaels room. He hadn't come out in a few hours and I had completely forgotten he was even in the house. I knocked and didn't get an answer.

Usually I would have walked away but the alcohol running through me made me not want to give up. I opened the door and he was sitting on his bed with his laptop parched up on his lap. "Sorry for barging in, I just wanted to see how you were." I pulled my lip ring between my teeth. "I'm okay, thanks for coming to check on me." He gave me a small smile reassuring me. "Do you want to maybe come downstairs for a little bit?" I asked him in high hopes that maybe he wouldn't be so upset if he just came down and had some fun. "I don't really know anyone probably, it wouldn't be a lot of fun for me." He said taking his green eyes off of me and looking back at the computer screen. "You know me, and I promise not to leave your side." He got up from the bed after a minute of thinking. "Okay, yeah I'll come down for a bit."

We had been downstairs for about a half an hour, Michael said he was going to the bathroom and that he'd be right back. Within five minutes, Ashton and Calum stumbled on over to me, and were laughing their asses off about something.

"What's so funny?" I asked laughing a little bit too. "We saw that green haired freak down here, and Calum tripped him, and the loser started crying." Ashton said slurring his words.

I didn't know what to do, I couldn't defend Michael only because I'd lose my friends, and they'd make my life a living hell. "I'll be right back." I stumbled over my feet, and quickly made my way to the bathroom. I knocked on the door and heard soft crying on the other side. "Mikey, it's Luke. Please let me in." I put my head against the door and hearing a sniffle, the door unlocked and I pulled my head away too the door opening and revealing a red nose and puffy eyed Michael with tear stains down his cheeks.

I took a step forward towards him so I could close the door behind me, while he backed up putting his face in his hands, and gasping for air. He sat down on the floor in front of me, and watching the green haired boy have what seemed to be a panic attack was breaking my heart. I sat down besides him and rubbed circles into his back hoping it would calm him down. "They said I was a queer that nobody cared about." His words stumbling and gasping for air ever few seconds.

His body was rocking back and forth but I pulled him into my chest with both arms. His head buried into my chest and his tears soaking my shirt. I put my head on top of his. "It's okay. What they said doesn't even matter, you wanna know why?" I whispered to the boy in my arms. "Why?" He barely whispered back.

"Because someone does care, I do."

Idk what I'm trying to do or if this is even good but if you guys have any tips or ideas let me know tbh
