Chapter 8 / Roland's Choice

Robin's POV

Regina and I woke up next to eachother. My arm was around her and her eyes were slowly opening.

"We have to pick up Roland today." I reminded her.

"Right.." She whispered.

She got up slowly and headed to the bathroom.

"You look exhausted." I said.

She nodded wiping off her yesterday makeup. She applied mascara and eyeliner and went straight to her closet. She picked out a light blue top and some dark jeans. As she dressed I decided to get ready with her. I tossed a green shirt on with baggy jeans and waited for her to finish.

"Ready." She said grabbing her purse.

We both went downstairs quickly and out the door.

As we arrived at camp, Marian was hanging out with Will by the campfire with Roland. As Roland turned around he saw Regina and I.

"Gina!" Roland cheered running towards her.

Regina picked up Roland and they both hugged.

Marian got up quickly and we all approached eachother.

"Roland gets to choose who he wants to be with." Marian said.

Regina nodded and set Roland down leaning to his level.

"Roland I have a question." Regina started.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Do you wanna live with Momma forever? Or Papa and I forever?" She asked.

Roland looked at Marian and Regina and I.

"I wanna live with you, Gina." He said.

Marian sighed and went to his level also.

"You'll never see me again if you go with them." Marian said trying to convince him.

Roland shrugged and hugged Regina.

"Marian, can we talk?" Regina asked standing up.

Regina's POV

Marian shrugged and I took her somewhere private.

"I know how you feel." I said starting the conversation.

"No Regina, you took everything from me! My husband and now my son! She shouted.

"He doesn't even love his own Mother." She said this time with her voice breaking.

"Marian listen to me." I said calmly but intense.

"When my adopted son's birth Mother took him away from me, I felt the same way you do right now. I tried so hard to get Henry to love me that it only made him push me away even more. I am going to let you see him only because I know how it feels to lose the bond with your son and it's not a good feeling." I finished with tears burning in my eyes.

"Thank You." She said with a tear falling from her cheek.

"And I truly am sorry for hurting you mentally and... physically.." I said clenching my teeth.

Marian nodded and we both laughed.

"I'm sorry I called you a monster." She added.

"It's okay." I said with a forgiving smile.

She smiled and walked off leaving Robin and Roland approaching me.

"What was that?" Robin asked with a smile.

"Nothing. I just wanted to talk to her her about Roland. I told her she could see him." I explained.

"What, why?" Robin asked.

"Because Robin, when Emma took Henry from me I was left alone with nobody, I tried forcing him to love me but it only made things worse, when I met you though, you turned my life upside down." I finished giving him a smile.

He smiled and kissed my lips gently.

"That's why I love you." He whispered.

Robin's POV

"Gina, I wanna watch cartoons." Roland said in the backseat of the car.

"We're almost home." Regina giving me smile.

This is the first day Roland and I are staying over without having to worry about Marian, so I'd say our first family time together.

"Are you sure you don't want icecream?" I asked.

"Ohh I want icecream!" Roland cheered.

Regina nodded with a smile and made a u-turn to the icecream shop.

"Thank you." Roland said nicely taking his chocolate icecream in his hands.

"And what about the lovely couple?" The cashier asked.

"Wanna share a banana split?" I asked Regina.

She nodded in agreement.

"Banana split with two spoons please." I ordered.

"Sure thing!" She said cheerfully.

"Here you guys go." She said nicely giving me the dish.

"Thank you." Regina replied leaving a tip in the tip jar.

"Have a nice day, all of you." The woman said.

I nodded and waved and we all exited the shop.

Regina took the first bite and the icecream dripped on her chin. As she was about to get it I stole it from her chin and licked my finger.

"Ha!" I teased licking my lips.

She shoved me playfully with a smile.

"Grow up outlaw!" She teased back.

"Haha! Daddy's a little baby!" Roland joked with a smile.

"That he is!" Regina replied smiling down at him.
