Dancing Waters

The river -

So calm and peaceful,

Waltzing over the pebbles

And rubbing them smooth.

Then the storm comes,

Stirring it into a wild frenzy

And flooding its banks -

A wild tribe dancing to honor their gods.

The storm abates to just a drizzle,

Allowing the river to resume its slow dance as before,

The fluid motion of the dance

Carrying it to the ocean.
