"Ain't bringing you no games.

Ain't leaning on no cliche.

If you sharing my bed, then babe you share my name.

'Cause you, got me feeling so high.

Oh baby, you are the rhythm of my life.

My life."

I flutter my eyes open to find the spot next to me on the bed empty. I frown and look around the room and see no sign of Jeff. I slowly sit up, a sharp pain making it's way through my body. Oh yeah... Jeff and I made love last night. I smile at the memory before my smile is replaced with a quiet whine from pain. I stand up slowly, my legs wobbly as I head over to Jeff's dresser. I smile when I see a pair of sweatpants laying on top of the dresser with one of his shirts, a little note next to it. I grab the note and read it slowly, trying to get my mind off of the pain.

Charlie,

Good morning babe. I would've woke you up, but I know you're probably going to be in pain. I went to the police station to tell chief what's going on and that I'm awake. I'll be back soon okay? Feel free to wear what I laid out for you. I love you xx

I smile while biting my lip, putting all of my weight on one leg while thinking about Jeff telling me he loves me again. I keep smiling as I put on his clothes, noticing that he sprayed them down with a little cologne. I nod my head in satisfaction before heading downstairs slowly, trying to be careful to not fall. Once I make it to the bottom of the stairs, I make my way to the kitchen to plan out what to make for breakfast. I look around and decide to make some waffles. "I want some chocolate." I hum happily, grabbing Oreo's and chocolate chips.

I grab everything that I need and start making the waffles. I hum happily, Jeff's voice last night playing in my head as he was saying 'I love you'. Once I finish making the waffles, I use some marshmallow fluff and put it on top of one waffle with a Hersey's chocolate bar on top, then the other waffle. I smile and drizzle melted chocolate chips on it with some crushed Oreo's. I nod my head at the delicious creation before repeating the process again on another plate for Jeff.

Right when I finish his serving, I hear the car pull up in the drive way. I smile and set the plates on the table with some silverware before heading over to the door and opening it up. I lean against the frame while watching Jeff walk up to the door, a smile on his face as he looks at me. As soon as he's in front of me, I wrap my arms around him and kiss him gently. "Good morning." I coo while kissing him again. I hear him chuckle before putting his arms around me and kissing me back. "Good morning to you too."

He pulls apart and leads us inside, shutting the door after him. I wait for him to take his shoes off before leading him into the kitchen. "I made breakfast." I declare, watching his reaction once he sees the food. "That's not breakfast! That's a fucking dessert!" Jeff cheers, running over immediately, picking up the knife and fork to start eating. I roll my eyes before pouring him a cup of milk with it, sitting down besides him to eat.

I smile while watching him eat, Jeff only noticing me watching when he looks over at me with a smile. "What?" he chuckles, wiping his face with a napkin. "Nothing." I mumble quietly, a smile still on my face while taking a bite. I feel my phone vibrate on the table before quickly grabbing it and reading the text my mom sent me. "Mom wants to know if her, Jacob, and dad can come over."

"Sure they can." Jeff chuckles, getting up and grabbing his empty plate before putting it in the sink. I roll my eyes at his laziness before typing in the message, only to notice Jeff sat back next to me. I look at him weirdly, noticing only after my look that he's cutting up my food and holding the fork up to me, trying to feed me. I smile and lean in a little, letting him hand feed me while texting my mom.

"They said they'd be here in ten." I inform, taking another bite from him while he watches me endearingly. I giggle when I realize he's not paying attention. I shake my head before finishing my last bite and standing up, heading over to do up the dishes. As I'm doing them, another shock wave of pain rushes through me, making me drop the knife in my hand. "Are you okay?" Jeff immediately asks, already by my side when the clank of metal hitting metal sounds.

"I'm fine. Just in a little pain." I whisper, biting my lip as the pain wrecks through me. "You're not fine. Come sit down. I'll do the rest." Jeff whispers gently, picking me up bridal style before carrying me to the living room and sitting me down on the couch. I giggle at his protectiveness before positioning myself a little better, watching as he disappears into the kitchen. I close my eyes and try to relax when I hear a knock on the door. I groan and get up slowly, opening it to reveal my mother, father, and brother.

"Hey guy's. Come on in." I fake smile, trying to seem cheery to see them. "We planned to." Jacob laughs, walking in and sitting down on the couch where I was sitting. I sigh unhappily before taking a seat on the love seat and watching as everyone stares at me, seemingly knowing what happened last night. "Did you use protection." Mom's voice rings out after the silence, a gasp leaving my mouth as she asked so nonchalantly.

I start to think back to last night, only to come up with a conclusion that Jeff and I didn't use protection. I keep quiet, trying not to answer, a smirk appearing on my brother's face since he knows what's up. Before mom or dad can say anything, Jeff walks out and sits next to me, putting an arm around me.

"So Jeff, how does it feel to be awake again after awhile?" dad speaks up, a smile on his face, his tone happy that he's up. "It feels great. It was heartbreaking being able to feel and hear Charlie, but not being able to physically see her." Jeff explains, leaning back into the love seat, his arm still around me. "That's cute. To be honest, it feels good to see Charlie so happy again and to know that she's protected." Mom smiles, a hint of mischief in her eyes.

I bite my lip, knowing that she's going to say something a little out of bounds. "So Jeff, did you wear protection last night?" There it is. I knew it. I look over at Jeff a little worriedly, knowing that he knows that he didn't. "Yes, I did." is his simple answer, making me slightly surprised. "That's good. I was afraid that if you didn't, I'd have to give you a thorough talking to."

I feel my face redden, causing me to shake my head. "Mom, please." I whine annoyed, scooting closer to Jeff if possible. "Okay, okay. I'll stop." she giggles, dad's arm around her now too. I smile at them, leaning my head against Jeff's shoulder, feeling a sudden wave of tiredness hit me. I vaguely hear my mom talking about going to see something with Jeff and I when I mumble Jeff's name very quietly. "Go ahead and sleep babe." he whispers back, kissing my forehead discreetly, his voice sending me off to sleep.

For a few chapters, this story is going to become very sweet, romantic, or whatever you want to call it. There'll be little drama. Just a lot of cute moments.
