I walked into the dining hall with Trevor quickly finding the other careers and walking over to them. "Tess!" Trevor said pulling me back. "What!?" "Why are we sitting with them?" "They asked us to be in their alliance. I'm going to be in it with or without you." I jerked my arm away and walked over to the table. "Hey" I said with a slight smile as I sat down. They all nodded and finished their breakfast. I didn't feel much like eating but I did anyways,because I know I needed the strength.
After we ate we all walked into the training room,Trevor avoided me for the most part. Our mentor told us to try everything twice,and to practice.Being from the capitol we had the least experience,well I did anyways. I looked over at Trevor a few times and he was doing quite well,specially in spear throwing.
Training with the others made me realize their weaknesses and strong points. Also made me realize that I didn't excel at anything.
After Training we had dinner,but I didn't feel much like eating,so I went to my room. Once in my room I found a letter on my bed. I opened it and read it out loud
" Dear Tessa,
I know things must be confusing for you right now, And if you're reading ,I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you Tessa Dear. I knew I wouldn't make it,I'm not strong enough. But you are strong Tessa. You can do this. Prove your Grand father wrong. I love you. Always and forever.

"W-What?" I said to myself as I heard a knock on the door. "W-who is it?" I said wiping my tears away. "Trevor" he said opening the door. "Tess?" He frowned and walked over. "Please..just don't say anything." I looked at him in tears. He leaned over and pulled me into his arms hugging me tight. "Please don't let go." I said hiding my face in his shirt. "I wont,I promise."
I must have fallen asleep like that because I woke up in his arms the next morning. "Trevor..?" I said softly. "Hm?" He said waking up. "It's morning." He smiled and opened his eyes. "I guess we better go eat breakfast then." He said standing up. I nodded and followed him downstairs.
Today will be our final day of training before we get our training scores and go into the games. Our training scores decide how many sponsors we get. Since our mentor has been mostly absent Trevor and I had to rely on each other to find out this information.
I started out with the knives today then moved to the spears. I realized I'm really good with archery and knives. But I still wasn't sure what I would do to wow the game makers into giving me a really good score. "Hey Tess." Clove said walking over with Cato. "Hi." I said then i turned my attention back to the knives. clove was amazing at throwing knives so I tried to pay attention to her and learn something.
We were allowed to train longer today or go to dinner. So I stayed along side Trevor and practiced spear throwing. He showed me how to handle it and throw it. But I wasn't very good at it,so we decided to go to Dinner. We held hands and walked into the dining hall,and everyone gasped as they saw us. I just giggled and sat down with him. Maybe the odds will be in our favor if the others actually thought we were dating.
