"Are you sure its her?" I say rummaging through the files in my hand.
"She practically lead us to her. Of course I'm sure." Clarke replied as were both headed towards the feed room.
"And remind me again how she did that."
"I told you, this" he said handing me a note.
"Gasp" I say with one hand over my mouth in mock surprise as I take the note from him" Do I get to actually read it."
"Just open and read it Reefer you'll be pretty involved in this case so you'll need all the information you can get."
"Do I get clearance?"
"Full access"
"Awesome." I say as I finish reading the note
We walk into the feed room. The screens show us feeds from a gray room with a table and two chairs, a bed and a little bathroom. One of which is currently occupied by a young girl. Wait girl? I was expecting a woman! I was still even alittle fazed that the culprit was female to begin with. Blinking and rubbing my eyes vigorously, handing my files to Carl, I rush towards the screen.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!?! Are you kidding me? What is she, like twelve?" I say gesturing towards the feed screen.
"Actually she's sixteen" Jean, who is in charge of profiles, tells me.
"So she's our mass murderer? Huh? A sixteen year old girl."
"She was the only match at the cafe. And it seemed liked she was expecting us." Clarke tells me. "And just saying, you of all poeple should be estimating someones capabilities according to their age."
"Whatever" I say "Jean, what else do you have on her?"
"Besides that, nothing. She's not even in the system, her prints are non existent " Jean says.
"How is that possible? So what your saying is that we know nothing about her. "
"No school records, no medical records. for goodness sakes Reece we dont even have a name!"
"WHAT?!?! Then how on earth do you know how old she is?!?!"
"She told us, well she told us three different ages and we narrowed it down to sixteen." This time it was Clark who answered.
"Oh okay then it's good to know that we have a guesstimated age then" I say as sarcastically as physically possible.
"Re-"
"Don't bother, lets just get this started shall we?" I say as I'm about to make my way to the gray room. My first case and I walk in empty handed
"Be carful, she's, quite the..... case" says Jean
"Yeah, well now she's my case."
As I'm about to walk through the double doors that lead to the corridor. I hear Jean make an announcement " Okay so who else sensed a wave irony and de ja vu here?" The last things I hear are slurs of response; "I know right." or "I cant wait to see this." I work with immature nerdy monkeys.Personally I have no idea what they're talking about.
