Where We Meet

One month later.

"Harper! Don't forget the cheerleaders package for the team!"

Harper jump up from the bed yawning as she went over to her calendar marking day 30 since she got separated from James that night.

"Hey girl, don't wait up for me tonight, I'll be over at a friend's place."

Lisa said as Harper nodded yes.

Lisa is her roommate who took her in after the apartment needed two person in order for it to be rented.

Harper got ready for school and followed the everyday routine hoping James will come find her.

His last words were "I'll find you." After he distract the nightwalkers so she can escape.

Hours passed, teachers came and left, lunch came and ended and Harper couldn't figure out what to do next.

"Miss Harper, cheer practice is scheduled for 7pm tonight." The team captain reminded her.

But.

Harper didn't acknowledge what she was told and it made the woman furious.

Instead, Harper's body froze as james siphoner power was felt close.

The cheer captain gritted her teeth as she curses Harper who quickly followed where the aura was coming from.

Every stop closer felt like home.

A smile formed on her lips as her heart rate rises with excitement.

"James!" She spoke out but her excitement faded into agony as she stood out the school.

On the pavement was James Jacket and the stone she carved for him.

They both had one, now his own is here and he isn't.

She quickly picked up the jacket with the stone that glowed faintly.

Harper stuffed the stone in her pocket and ran to the door.

"James!" She whispered as a cold breeze dangled in her hair.

A tear ran down her cheeks as she scanned around the area.

Meanwhile Dimitri the nightwalker who can walk in daylight because of her blood, smiled.

He stood at the other side of the road.

"Found you." He whispered.
