Chapter 4

Eunice returned with Josh.

Jack was sitting at a table in the corner in the reception room Kick had given him some lunch he didn't feel much like eating it he was just picking at it where was Charlie when he needed him? He sighed as he pushed his plate away most people were leaving he had sat in the corner to be unnoticed he didn't want to hear another Oh I'm so sorry about your wife plus he was feeling very poorly Kick took his kids back to the White House. He suddenly remembered he didn't take his medication.

"Jack how are you holding up?" Bobby asked

"Just get me to the car." Jack said feeling sick to his stomach.

Joe wheeled his chair past the press down the ramp to the car he told the driver to get ready to drive off as soon as Jack got in the car.

"Abe!" Bobby called as he and Billy rushed to his side Abe and Clint were by his side along with John and Glenn they were able to get Jack safely to the care the agents got in

"Jack did you take your medication? Bobby asked

"No I forgot. Get me a shot!"

"Where is it Jack?" Joe asked

"What?"

"The pump." Ted said as Bobby got a needle of hydrocortisone ready

"Call the White House get Dr.Travell To get medications ready for Jack tell her he is having an Addison crisis." Bobby said to no one in particular as he unbuttoned Jack's coat and shirt he untucked his brothers shirt he rubbed an alcohol swab on his brothers stomach he inserted the needle. He waited and inserted another shot just to be safe. All of them knew what to do in case of an emergency Kenny and Pierre knew what to do as well as did most of Jack's staff.

The limo arrived at the White House. The agents and his brothers rushed him inside

" Pierre!" Jack said giving his press secretary a hug

"Hi Jack." how are you feeling?"

"Okay"

"Jack let's get you upstairs." Bobby said to his brother as they guided him to the elevator knowing in Jack's condition he couldn't walk up the steps.

While Teddy explained to Pierre what was going on he told Teddy he figured that out

They arrived upstairs Dr.Travell was waiting for them Kick had some pyjamas ready for Jack

"I want the ones I had on last night. I like them they make Teddy be weird." Jack replied

"I have them. " Kick replied as she helped Jack remove his jacket.

"Out I don't need you seeing my underwear." Jack replied to his sister as he sat on the bed

Kick handed Bobby the pajamas she left the room.

"I don't feel good and Abby is gone and I don't want Thanksgiving tomorrow and I want to stay in bed you can all come here oh yeah bring your kids Bobby it's nice to have your dozen around."

"I have eight kids"

"You have the most out of all of us."

"True." Bobby replied

"I will have Thanksgiving for the kids."

"Okay Jack."

"Have they found out who shot at the car and killed Abby?"

"No we are working on it. Don't worry the country is in good hands."

"I Know Bobby I wouldn't have handed my Presidency over to just anyone."

"I know can you put you pyjamas on by yourself?"

"My wrist is sore" Jack told him

Bobby helped Jack remove his shirt he helped him into the batman t-shirt

"Okay Janet you can medicate me." Jack replied

she smiled at him as she inserted the IV into his right elbow she taped the IV in place

Jack slipped off his pants and put on his pajama bottoms. Jack slid into bed Bobby made sure Jack was comfortable.

"Thanks Bobby I will be okay. You have some Work to do."

"I do I can work form up here. Pierre will make a statement."

Jack nodded

Clint, Glenn, John and Abe walked in with Teddy and Joe wheeled in with Billy walking behind them.

"Hi to my agents glad you're in some comfy clothes." Jack said to them as they had all removed their ties and untucked their shirts.

The agents nodded

"So what to you guys think of wearing batman and superman pajamas together it makes Teddy uncomfortable." Jack teased

"Are you going to be sleeping?" Teddy replied back.

"Be a good brother and put on a bond movie." Jack told Teddy wishing he had Abby by his side however she never handled him having an Addison Crisis very well the first time he had on she had nearly killed him. He was so thankful Pat had showed up.

Caroline, Bella and John ran into their dad Eunice had told them

"Can we watch my Little pony?" Caroline asked

"No!" John exclaimed

As Bella shook her head

"Buttons you're the only one to like that. How about Mary Poppins all of you like that ."

Teddy went to get the movie Joe transferred himself to the comfy chair while Jack's kids got comfy in bed with their dad

"Daddy I cried today I miss mommy but is it bad I feel happy you're okay?" Caroline asked

"No its not Buttons its okay to feel happy about things and there will be times when we feel sad but we can't be sad or depressed all of the time." Jack told her

Everyone got comfy to watch the movie Bobby watched as he worked on trying to find Abby's killer he had some papers in front of him as well as his Ipad Mini he often had that and his phone with him at all times Jack joked he should have them surgically attached. Bobby just laughed

Kick looked at Jack he was looking better she just was glad they had got him the help he needed in time.

Kick knew the next little bit was going to be hard for the family they would all have a second chance to be the best family they could. She knew God was giving them all a second chance.
