Karakura's Other Substitute Shinigami!

Once again I return to Bleach, as my favorite Manga/Anime of all time I do want to deliver on a story that lets me show how much I love this series. Now you can probably tell by this story's title what I have in mind, however I'm not simply satisfied with making a Protag with Dante or Vergil's power. You all know I like to blend the two series I'm using as much as possible. I have something really special in mind that will become clear as you read through the Bio. I will also go over some lore details at the end. With that let's meet Karakura Town's other Substitute Shinigami!

Name: Masato Redgrave (Fake Last Name)

Species: 1/3 Human, 1/3 Demon, 1/3 Shinigami

Age: 17 (Beginning of the Story)

Hair Color: White

Eye Color: Green

Height: 6 Foot, 2 Inches

Family: Dante Redgrave (Father), Unknown Mother

Guardians: Kisuke Urahara, Yoruichi Shihouin

Occupation: Store Clerk, Substitute Shinigami.

Personality: Carefree, compassionate, aggressive, fiercely protective of those close to him, cocky when fighting, wants to know more about his father and mother, unsure of his unique lineage, wants to figure out who he is.

Unique Traits

Regenerative Healing: Masato's body heals ant an abnormally fast rate for a living being or Shinigami. This was inherited from his father allegedly.

Immense Spiritual Power: Masato has a naturally high Spiritual Power. This is most likely inherited from his mother, however his father's own genetics seem to have influenced this as well.

Lust For Combat: Masato has a natural urge to fight, something that only grows more intense when he acts as a Shinigami. Despite fighting to protect others, part of him is worried he will let his desire for a fight will consume him.

Shinigami Robes

Standard Robes: Standard Shinigami Robes with a sleeveless top, common within the ranks of the Gotei 13.

Zanpakutō

Sealed Zanpakutō: The sealed state of Masato's Zanpakutō, he has yet to learn its name. Despite this however, other Spiritually Attuned beings note that it gives off a malicious aura.

Bio: Masato Redgrave doesn't understand who or what he is exactly. The son of a Paranormal Investigator and denizen of Soul Society, Masato was left in the care of Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihouin since he was a baby. Growing up in the quaint town of Karakura, Masato learned swordsmanship from Kisuke and Shunpo from Yoruichi. While the two former Shinigami encouraged him to live a normal life, Masato had a natural urge to fight. Taking on the role of a Substitute Shinigami illegally, the young man would slay any Hollows that cropped up in Karakura Town. When Masato crosses paths with another Substitute Shinigami and the Shinigami that gave him her powers however, he is dragged into a conflict that may give him some of the answers he is searching for.

So that's Masato! Now before I go over some lore, if you are curious this story will start near the end of the Agent of the Shinigami Arc as I don't really see a need for Masato to play a large role in the very first Arc given it's mostly just character introductions. With that said let's go over a few important details.

Demons: Denizens of Hell, they were evil humans who were turned into Hollows after death. After being slain by Shinigami and sent to Hell, they are transformed into Demons. Demons as a species are obsessed with power and wreaking havoc on humanity. Demons pose a significant threat to all Spiritually Attuned Beings as the Demonic Energy they wield is the polar opposite to Spiritual Power. Demons are considered a major threat due to their rapid regenerative healing capabilities.

Demonic Energy: A power derived from sin itself, Demonic Energy consumes Spiritual Power like a predator does with its prey. Demonic Energy grows stronger the more Spiritual Power it consumes. It can however also work in tandem with Spiritual Power, amplifying its effects. A Shinigami that attempts to wield Demonic Energy has an increased and accelerated chance of undergoing the Hollowfication process.

Hybrids: While rare there are cases of Demons moving past their violent natures and even procreating with humans. This leads to a human with the physiology of a demon. The Soul Society view these Hybrids as potential major threats, it is also considered taboo for a resident of the Soul Society to have relations with a Demon or Hybrid.
