"alrighty guys!" charlie exclaimed happily, standing with many other demons near her. "today is the day we start this thing!"
this hospital, her blood, sweat and tears, was her everything in this mission to discover the secrets of the exorcists.
angel dust was standing with his arms crossed against his fluffy chest, and husk, the grumpy cat bartender, was next to him. "are ya sure this hospital stuff will work out, charlie?" angel dust spoke up.
"of course it will! where else would anomalies go?" charlie let out a small chuckle. "besides, it'll be fun! now stand there while i assign you guys your jobs!"
the job assignment went pretty well, and each demon went to their respective rooms. vaggi stood at the reception desk, since she was the secretary.
almost instantly, the door opened and the sound of a bell ringing filled the hospital. a patient entered, the door closing behind them.
the patient was a tall ant demon, almost as tall as vox. "hello, i'm antonio woods. i'm here for my optometry appointment..." he replied, placing a clipboard on the desk with forms for vaggi to stamp.
vaggi stamped the forms and took a photo of him with a camera on her desk. once the camera printed the photo, she stared at it.
the photo seemed normal, it was just of antonio's smile.
"hmm...seems okay." vaggi turned to her computer to register antonio's name, and then she printed his name badge.
antonio looked over as she handed him the badge. "thanks! i will be in room 5." he said, before stepping away into the hallway.
vaggi let out a deep sigh. this couldn't be THAT bad, right?
meanwhile, valentino, the purple moth pimp demon, was in the optometry room, turning to see the ant demon before him.
"oh! a new patient, i see..." the moth replied in a flirtatious tone of voice, before leading antonio to a bed. "don't you worry, i'll fix ya right up~"
valentino fixed up his equipment before grabbing a slit lamp to look into the patient's eyes. "hmph...looks like ya need some eye drops! your eyes are quite dry..."
"unlike me...~" he let out a loud cackle as he left the room to grab some eye drops from the hall.
across the hall, angel dust and husk were teaming up on a patient. husk worked in addiction recovery, while angel dust was the EKG technician.
"just calm down for a second, toots! the EKG will last for a few minutes at most." angel dust reassured the patient.
"but what if it hurts?" the patient, a large cheetah demon, asked.
angel dust chuckled, trying to lighten the patient's mood a bit. "EKGs don't hurt ya! most they do is measure yer heart, and that doesn't hurt!"
husk was working on the patient's notes in the background.
after every patient was treated, it was now shift 2...and things were gonna get a hell of a lot more interesting.
