I know I don't usually write in a journal, but my mental health hasn't been the greatest, so I thought maybe writing things down wouldn't be a horrible idea. I cannot promise I'll write very interesting things due to the fact my days seem to be repeating on an endless cycle. The days are blending together and its hard to remember what the day of the week is. Summer so far has been completely uneventful because my friends have all disappeared on me. I'm starting to think it was my fault. Maybe I was overreacting. I will never know because I can only see everything in my perspective.
I feel like I have to do an introduction for this journal even though I do not intend for anyone to read the entries. I am Saoirse Andre McClellan. I am currently 17 years old and my birthday is March 18th. Since the 6th grade I've known I was queer, it was only until freshman year when I realized exactly what I was. A lesbian. I had only figured that out because I finally had gotten tired of my friend telling me I was one even though I didn't identify with that label yet. So I technically didn't figure that out for myself. I was just given the label. But now I finally completely align myself with said label so that isn't really a problem. Its just tiring that I couldn't experience finding it out all by myself.
Today has been uneventful. I started my day taking my medication and doomscrolling on social media. I hadn't realized how much time had passed when I stopped. The entire day I laid in bed in my pajamas. I was completely unmotivated for anything. I have no friends, my parents were at work, and I don't have a car. The entire day all I did was doomscroll. I'm not proud of that, but at least I was motivated enough to write in here. I think tomorrow I'll try doing something with the arts like painting, or sculpting.
