Conquer From Within

Chapter 9

'' Be brave for once in your life, Mary!'' I scolded myself while nearing the crowd,before I had a chance to rethink my decision. As I neared them some of them looked at me but then continued their conversation. '' Okay, do not be scared, even if they do reject you, show them that you are not afraid of anyone,that no matter what you still can be a bigger person!'' I thought to myself.

''Hi!'' I greeted them, trying nor to sound too nervous. 

''Hi!'''some of them answered me not too enthusiastically. '' Ha! And what did I tell you? Oh, I remember! I told you not to go them like some pathetic idiot!'' my subconsciousness hissed at me.

I tried to keep it cool. ''My name is Mary. I am new here as you probably  already know!'' I held my breath and waited for their reactions.

''I'm Travis and these are Greg, Tom, Cara and ..'' he was interrupted by the girl who had caught my eye earlier.

''I'm Christine, but friend call me Chris!'' She said and shook my hand while giving me warm and friendly smile. '' It is nice to meet all of you!'' I replied giving them my best smile.

'' Why did you choose us ?''  Greg asked me. I looked at him in confusion, clearly not understanding what did he mean. '' What do you mean , why did I choose you?'' I asked. 

'' Well, if I remember correctly, you did come to us instead of the other groups,didn't you?'' he replied me with a slight smirk on his handsome face. ''Is this a trick question? Like some sot of test  that I don't know of?'' I asked. ''No, I guess. But you can never know it in here, don't you?'' he just kept replying me in the same manner as before.

''Well in that case I'm not giving you an answer just yet!'' I said with a slight smirk on my own. ''So when will the trainer is going to be here? '' I asked.

''In few minutes. All of them are really punctual, and they always expect the same from us in return!'' told Greg. ''Ah, and here he is!''

I turned and saw tall, well build man with shortly chopped of hair which made him look rough but not less handsome. '' Okay, listen up everyone! The ones who do not know me, I am commander Maxwell! As every other commander in this place or in this system, I am going to push you to your limits and will be waiting to do the same from you! You are here to train, to become the best soldier there could be, and not to rest,chat or get new friends! So follow me and keep up,you don't want to know what happens if you don't!'' he barked out orders and started jogging .

After the biggest run I ever had in my life, we came back and started to do push ups, sit ups and every single thing that Maxwell ordered us to do. I must tell you, that I already started to wander ,how will I be able to go through all day without fainting from exhaustion every single day!

I haven't talked to Travis,Chris or any other guys after our training started, but I really did hope that we will develop at least some sort of friendship between us. 

After our first class ended I went to shower,because let me tell you I was sweaty as a pig! Thank God, girl and boys were on the separate wings of the castle and had separate showers as well,otherwise it would be quite uncomfortable to walk only in towel to your room!  After I got ready , I went to my next subject,that this time was actually normal school subject - math! Well, this at least should be easy!

Wanted to thank every single one of you for supporting me and reading my book! It really means a lot to me, more than you actually can imagine. And even though there haven't be a lot  people who leave comments,but those who are leaving them make my day very single time! I really love knowing your thoughts and recommendations,because through them I can actually see what are you thinking about my book,what should I correct etc. 

 P.S. Sorry if there are any mistakes, but feel free to correct me on them, because as I have already mentioned, English is not my native language,so yeah! And tomorrow I will try to write a long chapter as well!
