Chapter - 37

Last thirty minutes of deadlines...!! Manik's
blood dried in his veins..!! He was
losing her..!! He was losing everything..!! His
everything was slipping from his hands..!!
He wanted to hold her but she was
slipping..!! Last fifteen minutes..! He was
near to death..!! When suddenly he saw
nurse coming out of the ICU..! His heart
stopped beating..!! Maybe she was coming to
tell him that his NANDINI IS DE..!! No..!!
Stop thinking rubbish Manik..!! She came
close to them,he noticed a smile on her
face..!! Why was she smiling?
"Who is Manik?"She asked smilingly.
"I am Manik..!! Her husband..!!"Manik said
in a low voice but he felt his voice was
coming from some deep deep well...!! He
was trying hard to control his all senses
together..!!
"Congratulations..!! Your wife is awake..!!
The first and only thing she spoke is your
name..!!"Nurse said smilingly and Manik felt
like he was dreaming..!! Everything was so
unreal..!! All his family members were
embracing each other but he numb.!!
Mr.Malhotra hugged him to congratulate
him but he didn't hugged him back..!! They
all run to meet Nandini but he didn't moved
an inch from his place...!! Finally Cabir
dragged him with himself towards Nandini's
room..!

Nandini saw Ronit and Nayonika almost
running towards her. They patted and kissed
her forehead.
"How are you Nandini?"Mr.Malhotra asked.
"I am ok Dad..!!"She said smilingly.
"How are you di..!! Ap nay tou ham sab ko
dara diya..!!"Risahb said with teary eyes
Nandini just smiled. Her eyes were searching
for her love whom which she expected to be
the first coming towards her..!! Where was
he? Then she saw Cabir he was holding
Manik's hand and was dragging him.
Nandini trembled for a second seeing
Manik's face..!! Eyes blood red..!! He was
looking so pale..!!
"How are you Nandini?"Cabir asked with all
his brotherly love but Nandini was staring at
Manik. Who was not looking at her..!! His
head was down..!! All noticed the situation
and quietly sneaked out of the room closing
the door behind them.
"Mani?"Nandini called his name but again
he didn't look at her and silently sat beside
her. She held his hands. "Apni jaan ki taraf
nahi daikho gay?"Nandini asked painfully
and Manik shook his head like a two years
old baby.
"Bohat gussa?"Nandini asked holding his
chin and made him look at her. He again
bobbed his head. Nandini went all awe for
his cuteness. "Mani..!! I am ok..!! See..!! Your
jaan is fine..!! Let it all out Mani..!!"She said
lovingly and that was it for Manik he hugged
Nandini as tightly as he could..!! And started
sobbing..!!
"Nan-nandini..!! Itna ziada kho-khoon..!!
You slipped..!! Main ku-kuch nahi kar pa-
paya..!!"Manik said between his sobs.
Nandini herself was crying she ruffled his
hair lightly.
"Shhh..!! Mani I am ok..!! Please don't
cry..!!"Nandini said painfully. Manik broke
the hug and look at her.
"Agar tmhy kuch ho jata tou?"Manik asked
childishly.
"Mjy kuch kaisy ho skta tha Mani? I had to
come back for you..!! For Manvi..!! For US..!!
Ab promise karo that you will not
cry?"Nandini said lovingly wiping his tears
and he nodded his head smilingly. Manik
pecked her forehead and her lips too. Then
he again hugged her and hide his face in her
hair. They stayed like that for sometime
when the door banged open and Manvi
came running in.
"Mama..!!"She shouted as tears were wetting
her cheeks. Nandini became worried seeing
her baby crying. Manvi climbed the
bed,hugging Nandini tightly she cried as
loud as she could.
"Aray..!! Ka ho gya mery baby ko? Itna dar
gya mera baby?"Nandini
said lovingly caressing her hair rubbing her
back and Manik too again become
emotional.
"I am shooli Mama..!!"She said between her
cries.
"Sorry? Why?"Nandini asked hugging her
more tightly.
"Agal(agr) main ap ko na bulati..!! Tou ap
aisy lun(run) klty(krty) huay na aty..!! Aul
(aur) phil(phir) ap slip na hoty..!!"She said
so innocently and MaNan look at her in
disbelief.
"Mano..!! Mama ki jaan..!! Is main ap ka koi
fault nai hai..!! I didn't fell because of you..!!
Wo tou mera foot slip ho gya tha..!! No mera
baby ap ny aisy ni sochna..!!"Nandini said
lovingly and pecked her forehead. Manik
side hugged Nandini and Manvi snuggled
herself in Nandini's lap.
"Mama..!! Papa I love you..!!"Manvi
whispered before drifting to deep sleep
getting her mother's warmth.
"We love you too..!!"MaNan said in unison.
"Bohat dar gai hai..!!"Nandini said
emotionally touching her forehead.
"Haan..! Isy fever ho gya tha..! But before
you panic she is completely fine now..! Bus
tum jaldi say theek ho jaoa..!! Is it paining a
lot.?.!!"Manik asked with a concern touching
her head wound. Nandini smiled.
"Just a little..!! But I will be fine..!"Nandini
said smilingly.
"I love you..!"Manik said pecking her
forehead. "Chalo ab you too take rest..!! I
will take Manvi with me..!!"Manik said in a
serious tone.
"Ni..!! Manvi ko mery pass rehny do
please..!!"Nandini pleaded and Manik
nodded. Then Nandini laid down the bed
holding Manvi close to her and Manik
adjusted the blanket on his loves. The he too
sat on a stool near the bed. With one hand
Nandini held Manvi close to her and with
other she held Manik's hand. Then looking
in his eyes she didn't knew when she drifted
to sleep because of sedatives. Manik smiled
finally he was at peace..!! He to rested his
head on the bed and slumber took over him..
