A girl's sitting alone on a wooden bench. There's a slight breeze and white clouds were scattering the light blue sky as they covered the sun. No sound was emitted other than the leaves as they russled in the wind, and the birds as the quietly quirped. No one else was around. That didn't bother her though.

She was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. Her elbows rested on her knees as her left leg bounced up and down. As another gust of wind flew by, she pulled her sleeves down to cover her palms. Her gaze was fixed on a random spot in the distance.

She's seventeen, on her own, soon to be eighteen. She had already graduated highschool and was applying to a near by college. She moved into her own apartment, two monthes ago. She had a job as a waitress to pay the rent.

She wasn't the kind of girl to party or drink. She didn't have many friends either. She would rather prefer taking walks, reading books, and working.

Now tell me, from what you've read of this girl, what do you think of her? Does she seem normal, average? Does she seem content maybe even happy with her life? She seems to have no worries, no problems, no troubles, no drama, right?

Okay, you got the answers in your head, correct? Now, what if I told you something else about her? What if I told you both her brother and father are dead? What if I told you, her mom was distant from her and the rest of the world after the death of the girl's brother and father? And, she was lonely, having no friends, because no one liked her, they thought she was weird and different? That she was depressed, sad, and didn't want to live? Or, that she was rejected from three other colleges and was starting to lose hope?

Think for a moment. Compare you thoughts about this girl when you first read about her with what you know about her now. Have your thoughts changed? Does she still seem worry free, problem free, trouble free, or drama free? Does she still seem happy to you?

Thanks for reading, I know it's kinda weird, but it just something I wrote yesterday as I was sitting outside waiting for my mom to come pick me up. Comment if you want, tell what you think of this, please. BTW neither of the pictures are mine, I got them from google images. This story is also on my Quotev account.
